As much as I love laying on the beach, I'm planning on getting beach walks in during the early a.m. before the sun gets really hot and then staying at the pool during the day so the baby can be under cover/in the AC if needed. In my opinion it's better to avoid a burn (which CAN happen in the shade and which IS proven dangerous). We would put it on her, use hats and umbrellas when we could. She did say to bathe her really well right after, which we always did. My mom warned that my first sunburn I was 3m old and under an umbrella. We tried California baby, but the smell was terrible. We just gave her a bath right after we came in from the sun. She was a Memorial Day baby, so we couldn't avoid the sun all summer. She just wore a romper. It's too humid here for pants &amp; long sleeves. She has a few sun hats that we put on her if she's in the stroller or carrier. They have some at target right now. We'll go to the beach and go out on my parents boat... plus when we get home we have a waterpark day with DH's work. The baby will obviously be too young to go in the water or anything like that, but I am wondering how to keep her safe from the sun? I'll probably mostly be carrying her in the moby, does that help?</p> <p>I am so clueless. </p>
