#2 was an extremely noisy sleeper. She did this weird gasp thing too that used to make me shoot right out of bed. I lasted like a week I think and then I moved her into her own room. We kept #1 in our room for 3 months, but I was so exhausted from having such an interrupted sleep ( I'm a very light sleeper.) No regrets with moving her early. She slept better in her crib than the bassinet.

@shopaholic: DS is also 4 weeks and soooooo noisy! We've had him in the RnP since we came home (he hated the bassinet and I just wanted sleep), so now we are going to have to work on that. He loves being held for naps during the day and since he's probably our last, I indulge him.
I say go ahead and move him... Our DD was 4 weeks when we moved her and it worked out great. Good luck!!!

I don't think DD was particularly noisy, but every tiny little sound she made would wake me up. I would definitely move baby into their own room for extra sleep! Sleep is so precious...

Yes! My DS (7 weeks) was very grunty at night when we brought him home. It has improved a bit over the past few weeks though and seems like now he's mostly grunting when we haven't burped him enough or he wasn't ready to lie down. He does still have a grunty period every morning around 3am though and it definitely interrupts our sleep.

Ack! DS is 4 weeks and such a noisy little sleeper! He grunts, moans, squeals, and lets out random cries all through his naps and night! I think I woke up at least 6xs last night thinking he was crying and awake, but all false alarms. It's keeping me on edge! I hadn't planned on moving him into his own room until at least 7-8 weeks, like his sister, but maybe he'll need to move sooner?

Anyone else have/had a noisy sleeper?
