Then the rest of the games we just made all the men do and it was hilarious. One was a race with a water balloon between their legs and the point was the cross the line without breaking your water. (They were slow flow so it took way longer than anyone expected.)</p> <p>I saw a shower on FB where people used fabric paint to decorate plain white onesies. That looked cute, but it's more of an activity than a game.</p> <p>Otherwise I have generally been bored with shower games, to be honest. We quizzed the grandmothers to-be about the Mother and Father.<br /> - Who was born closest to the due date<br /> - Who was born the fastest<br /> - Who was bigger at birth<br /> - Who cut their teeth first<br /> - Who walked first<br /> - Who said Momma first. </p> <p>The guests said "Mom" or "Dad" and then tallied up the scores. The shower hosts put out children's books (some very well known like The Cat and the Hat, and some more obscure), then you had to match quotes to each book. So the host might say "On Monday he ate through one apple" (or whatever the actual line is) and you have to guess which book that came from. The host ended up giving the books from the game to the mom-to-be, but you wouldn't have to, of course. </p> <p>I also like the Price is Right game where you set out a bunch of baby basics (small pack of diapers, baby wash, bibs, pacifiers, butt paste, etc) and attendees have to guess how much everything costs. Whoever gets closest to the total without going over wins. I want to honor that wish, so I want to come up with something that everyone will enjoy participating in but not feel awkward about. It's a family shower, so there will be all ages. I thought maybe a "guess that song/artist" with songs that have Baby in it and play clips but I didn't know if that would be too hard. Throw some ideas at me! </p>
