1. MaterniT21
2. Yes, we found out the sex of the baby after hearing all results were thankfully normal. It was accurate.
3. The geneticist gave us results over the phone 1 week after testing.
4. Insurance covered most of the cost...I think we paid $250 OOP?

1. Harmony
2. Accurate
3. Told over the phone
4. Insurance denied it, even though I will be 36/37 at delivery; Harmony reduced it to $99 though. I paid the $99, but might still fight it with my insurance co if I can muster the energy to deal with them!

1. MaterniT21
2. Yes, and it matched the ultrasound tech's guess at 16 weeks
3. My regular OB called a week later. (I had the test done at MFM.)
4. Still waiting to see. So far, it's covered, but they want to cover it at the lower out of network rate.

1. Which one did you have done?
Panorama

2. Did you find out the gender? Was it accurate when compared to you anatomy scan (if you're that far along)
Yes - the gender results are 99.9% accurate according to what I read online. The result of girl was "confirmed" at our anatomy scan though. (I trust the blood test more than the anatomy scan).

3. How were you told the results? (phone, in-office appointment, another way?)
We got the results over the phone ~2 weeks after the testing.

4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay?
Yes - our out of pocket cost was $25.

1. Which one did you have done? Panorama testing after soft markers were found on our anatomy scan.
2. Did you find out the gender? Was it accurate when compared to you anatomy scan (if you're that far along) yes... I think all results are 99.9% because they're looking at DNA
3. How were you told the results? (phone, in-office appointment, another way?) phone 10 days after the blood draw
4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay? Insurance covered it since it was requested by my doctor and there was a medical need for the test. I've heard that the test is very expensive without insurance covering it.

1. Verifi
2. We are TG and did not find out the gender but it is noted in the report.
3. I got the results at my next appointment two weeks after the test. I am in Canada and so it takes 10-14 days before the results are available
4. It was 100% covered by my provincial health insurance

@babycanuck: It is only covered by OHIP if the doctor recommends it or there are markers present on the anatomy scan which is the reason it was covered for me.

1) I had verifi done
2) Yes it confirmed gender, though we already knew from our PGD testing (did ivf w/PGD). It was accurate as I'm looking at my 6 month old boy now :-)
3) I'm pretty sure we got the results over the phone from my then OB. It took 10 days.
4) yes it was covered. I think we maybe paid $100 or so out of pocket? I have UHC Choice Plus.

2. Yes! We'll know just under 3weeks.
3. Results came in 8 days after the blood draw. They would've told me over the phone, but I elected to find out at my appt the next day, with DH.
4. I was told it would be $25. Haven't received a bill yet, though.

2. We already knew the gender and did the test because we had several soft markers for DS on our anatomy scan. I never saw any paperwork.
3. We were told over the phone by a genetics counselor.
4. Our insurance paid all but $250 of it.

I had the Harmony test
It's actually WAY more accurate than any ultrasound with a 2% chance of being wrong verses 20% with ultrasound. It was confirmed in the ultrasound but its sort of should be the ther way around.
I was told by phone about a week and a half later.
It was covered by insurnace because I am over 35

2. Did you find out the gender? Was it accurate when compared to you anatomy scan (if you're that far along) Yes, both boys! Found out with #1 at 13 weeks and #2 at 12 weeks.

3. How were you told the results? (phone, in-office appointment, another way?) Over the phone exactly a week after having the blood draw both times

4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay? No, they didn't cover it and I was told that even if they didn't, the max I'd have to pay was $250. Well, I got a bill for over $2500 (!!). I didn't get the bill until 13 MONTHS after having the test done (LO was then 7 months old!). I called the lab and they reduced it to $200.

4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay? Technically insurance covered it but I'm on a HSA plan so I have to pay my deductible before insurance starts paying the bills. So I'm on a payment plan right now to cover the $800 since my paying into my HSA hasn't fully covered it. Luckily, my monthly premiums are super low so I'll still come out ahead but man that bill is high!

3. How were you told the results? (phone, in-office appointment, another way?)
Yes. My hospital said they had a real with the company that anyone with insurance would only pay $25.

4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay? After I had blood drawn for it, I called my insurance to find out if it's covered; it's not! I freaked out, but then found out that my OB's office has a contract with Harmony and they cover the whole thing.

@babycanuck: honestly I don't know the name of the test... They draw blood at 9 weeks and again at 15 weeks and do a first tri ultrasound... Info and blood gets sent to the IWK in Halifax where they analyze it and send back the results. I've heard my doctor call it "quad screening". Downside is you have to wait until 16-17 weeks for the results.

1) I don't remember - it was the one my insurance covered
2) Yes - it was accurate
3) I was told the results over the phone
4) Yes - I paid the negotiated/discounted rate for the test(I'm on a high deductible plan so I pay until I hit my deductible)

1. Which one did you have done? Verifi
2. Did you find out the gender? Was it accurate when compared to you anatomy scan (if you're that far along) yes. I haven't had my anatomy scan yet but my perinatologist confirmed when he did an ultrasound.
3. How were you told the results? (phone, in-office appointment, another way?) Email.
4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay? $10 copay. Everything else (prenatal care and delivery) for my pregnancy is covered.

1. Which one did you have done?
Panorama
2. Did you find out the gender? Was it accurate when compared to you anatomy scan (if you're that far along)
Found out its a boy! Hasn't been confirmed yet.
3. How were you told the results? (phone, in-office appointment, another way?).
Got an email saying my results were in. Called doc, and nurse gave me results over phone.
4. Did your insurance cover it? How much did you have to pay?
Not sure yet. I will try to get them to. Decided I wanted test even if insurance didn't cover it, so if we have to, we'll just pay for it.

I had first & second trimester maternal serum screening for both pregnancies

I didn't find out the gender (we were/are TG)

I got the results at my next dr apt, around 18 weeks

It is covered by my provincial healthcare so I didn't have to pay anything
