@lawbee11: we have that same romper and Kaitlyn can't fit the 0-3 mo yet at 6 weeks. She can still fit Baby Gap's NB (up to 7 lbs). This is a pic of her just recently in the BG newborn jacket (and pants) I brought to the hospital for her coming home. Still swimming in it! I say go ahead and bring the romper, but have a few different sizes just in case.

Cute! DS was born in February but we live in Florida. He wore the pants I'd brought but kept his hospital kimono shirt because I was too scared to get the onesie over his head lol.

@Mrs. Pen: I've read that about Gap running big (even though the website says newborn is "up to 7lbs" which makes you think it would be so small!). I am going to bring a few other things just in case, but I really hope it fits!

@lawbee11: love the romper!!!! Usssse it!!! I'd pack booties and mits just because her circulation won't be great and even if it's warm, her hands will be freezing :(

LO wore this yellow outfit the first day and the white one on the day we went home. If you get them in newborn sizes, they will obviously have the mits attached (the cuff you put over the hands).

I love that romper!! sooo cute!! Although I hate to burst your bubble- gap clothes run really big so I highly doubt it will fit her as a newborn! :) But given it is August I think you'll be totally fine!

My LO was also born in August in Texas. She wore a similar style outfit home. We did have a white onesie underneath, but I'm not sure it was necessary.

I will say that the car was quite cool. DH had the air on max and running for a bit before we got in to get all the Texas heat out. I'd definitely bring socks, a light blanket and consider a onesie just to be fully prepared.

My LO was born in December in Chicago, so she wore a cable knit sweater romper with long pants/sleeves. That outfit's adorable, and I love the idea of a cardigan and blanket just in case.

That romper is SO cute. Since we are team green, I think I might get a really cute boy and girl newborn outfit and just accept I'll have to give one away (since I'll want to wash it first).

My sister had a Feb baby and I gave her a cute fleece body suit thing to bring the baby home in, then they had an unseasonably warm day when he came home and he just wore a sleeper they had thrown in the bag.

I finally ordered this romper from Baby Gap because I have been obsessed with it since I first laid eyes on it (and @leialou made me order it!). I really want our little girl to wear it home from the hospital, but it's obviously not a sleeper/doesn't have long sleeves or pants. It's going to be August in Texas (so it'll be in the 90s minimum), but are the nurses going to look at me like I'm a bad mom for dressing her in this? I am planning put some white socks on her with it.

Did anyone else bring their baby home in something other than a sleeper? Feel free to share pics!
