I had them done starting at 35 weeks due to my blood pressure, they were supposed to be once a week. At 36 weeks I had one done and they didn't like the lack of movement so I had to go to L&D to be monitored for an hour. Luckily he was fine but I did get pulled out of work at that time. I had 2 more before I delivered at 37 weeks, 5 days.

I had them once a week - NST or a BPP ultrasound every two days from 37 weeks until delivery because of preeclampsia. I was induced as soon as I had safely made it to my due date.

I just had one, at 41 weeks, and it showed low fluid which required an induction 12 hours later. For my next pregnancy, I'll ask to start monitoring at 40 weeks or even earlier.

I had one after my anatomy scan because my fluid levels were low so they just wanted to check things out. She was fine, and the test was simple.

I had to do one at 37w b/c my BP spiked and they were worried about pre-eclampsia. But that has been my only one. I'm sure when I go in on Monday, if I haven't had this baby by then, I'll have to do one. But I'll be 40w 1d at that point

I had one done on my doctor's estimation of my due date because aside from hiccups I didn't feel LO move that often. That was the only one though! She didn't cooperate, and they sent me for another more conclusive one at the prenatal diagnosis center. stinker!

I know that most pregnant women don't have to do NST's unless they are at or past full term, but some higher risk pregnancies have to do them. I'm diabetic, and typically my hospital makes all diabetic women start them at 32-34 weeks but my doc let me put mine off until 34, and then said that for the first week, I only have to do one. Normally they have to be done every 3-4 days until birth.

Are you doing NST's? When did/will you start and how often will you test?
