Glad to hear everything is ok! This happened to me at 36 weeks last week. I was having contractions 5-6 minutes apart for about 4 hours. Nothing helped! They eventually stopped but it was quite a scare.

@twodoghouse: When they told me months ago I had irritable uterus and I heard a lot of people end up having to be induced, I thought "that'll end up being me". And I still wouldn't be surprised!

@spaniellove: Glad baby you went in and that baby is ok! At the end I was having constant, regular, painful contractions but they weren't the real thing either. My dr just said that was my new normal and for me, she said to wait until I couldn't walk or talk through them (not saying you should follow that guideline - just what they told me!). Of course in the be I had to be induced. The end of pregnancy is such a roller coaster! Especially since I'd been dealing with preterm labor, contractions, bed rest for 6 weeks by the time I finally had them. I know you've been going through the same thing! Also, I can't believe you're already 37 weeks! Time flies!

Glad baby is doing ok!

That happened to me a few days before my water broke! I had contractions every 3-5 minutes for over 2 hours despite changing my activity level and drinking water. They weren't painful though....you might just be in early labor! I had a NST the day before that and they thought I might be back that day because my contractions were so regular, just not painful. They told me I was likely in early labor. It lasted like 5 days before my water broke.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the real deal but I'm more worried about the constant contractions, since at my NST yesterday they were less frequent and baby was struggling a bit. Anyway, they are sending me to triage, although I'm expecting to be back home soon!

Could be the real deal! Although...I also had pretty long stretches of nonstop contractions that would magically peter out when I got to L+D. But I would still call!

@spaniellove: My OB told me if I had more than 5 BH contractions in a hour that I needed to go get checked out in L&D. She said to not even bother calling, to just show up.

I know you're gonna curse me ;) but, I would call. My OB always said if a shower, water, laying down didn't stop it to call because it was likely actual contractions.

I'm 37 weeks and the Braxton Hicks have been pretty much constant (no more than 2-3 minutes apart) since last night. I've tried drinking lots of water, going to the bathroom, lying down, walking, etc. Is this just a normal BH thing? (Is it going to annoy me for days/weeks? :bummed: )
