As pps said, it has something to do with the increased fluid/blood volume during pregnancy, and i think it also causes your gums to bleed more easily during pg, which I had too. I think it's b/c your body is producing so much extra blood for your baby. Not sure why it gives us nose bleeds though. Sounds common for pregnancy. I had it on and off with my first. One of my friends suffered from nosebleeds all the time as a child and once she did this she didn't get them nearly as much. I think it is supposed to keep the area moist and 'soften' the dry air that is going in. My big problem was gums that would bleed badly &amp; randomly - that also went away... But I have to blow my nose a lot every morning and it's always really bloody the first few times.
