I know she needs more time to adjust and she's also in that stage in which everything is interesting, so maybe she is distracted. She's even distracted nursing in the mornings at times. Maybe I should suggest to daycare to feed her in the nap room where it's dark and quiet.</p> <p>@rachiecakes - I send 3 ounce bottles to cut down on the wasted milk and I've been able to pump fine to keep up with it (though a I get at least one full 3 ounce bottle back since she'll have refused it). </p> <p>@thehistoryofus - That's a good point about naps and being tired. She only woke up once last night after I dream fed her before I went to bed instead of twice as she had been doing. Could be a phase he's going through where he's too busy taking things in during the day to focus on eating. This is where they eat all their calories when mama is home. Eventually the teachers learn the routine and signals. Also, daycare wears them out and she will start sleeping at night and wanting to eat more. It only took DD a week before she was back to eating normally. He would refuse all bottles during the day and completely emptied my stash because I made DH (WAHD) offer him bottle after bottle while I was at work because I was so worried he'd get dehydrated. When I got home we would pretty much nurse until the sun came up. It was exhausting.<br /> I would definitely try pumping extra and maybe offer her bottles in smaller increments until she wants more? Sorry it's so frustrating. She started her nanny share last week and has been drinking less breast milk from the bottle, she normally has 15-16 ounces while I'm at work and has been drinking 10-12 ounces instead. I would say after a week he was drinking all of his bottles at daycare. Shes never been a huge fan of the bottle. She went last week for three days for about 6 to 7 hours and drank at most 9 oz. These last two days, she's only taken 7 oz. She makes up for this at night and has increased her night feedings and I'm dream feeding her before I go to bed. </p> <p>I'm hoping this is just a phase and she starts eating more during the day. Any HBers have experience with this? I hope this reverse cycling isn't permanent. How long did it take your LO to adjust to daycare? Any tips to encourage feeding during the day? </p>
