Aww - sorry to hear about the m/s! Hopefully it passes quick for you! I was extremely lucky and didn't have it (although I am only 11 and a half weeks, maybe still?) .... But wanted to chime in on the lazy/not yourself thing. I love to cook and usually make me and hubs dinner, get the house organized when I get home, but not since I got pg! I didn't cook us dinner for like 7 weeks!! I would get home and be dead after work and just sit. Luckily husband would make us dinner and clean up which was great. I had a little more energy in the morning, but work took the rest of it. Around 10 weeks I made us dinner again and started to have a little more energy, and I notice it is increasing. Although, I still want to go to bed at 9:30 or earlier! Ha!

Just go with it - hopefully it will just be for a few more weeks, let your dh take care of you (and baby) and rest! It is what's best right now ;)

Don't feel bad since it is out of your control. I think I did practically nothing my 1st trimester. I went to work, came home, ate something really quick, and then slept! I felt bad for not spending time with DH but he never complained. It is hard work to grow a baby!

@MamaMoose: yep! slowly coming to grips with that! I was all prepped to make DH a turkey burger and fries for dinner last night... and he obliged by making himself grilled cheese and soup because the smell of olive oil made me want to hurllll, but I still felt bad :(

I think you just have to learn to accept things and know that it's ok to ask for help. You're right, you're not like yourself, and that can be hard. But you do have to take it easy for your sake and for the babies. Once the baby gets here it gets even worse! No time for laundry and dishes, and you're soooooo tired! So take all the help you can get!

I think that's pretty normal. I was actually just reading in What to Expect that you have to listen to your body and rest when you need it. If that means the laundry and dishes pile up, so be it. A few days ago I was crying to my husband that i was a bad wife because I hadn't made him dinner in a week because all I wanted to do after work was lay in bed. He reminded me that I was growing his child and he is more than capable of making himself dinner so I can rest!

I still haven't gotten out of my funk. :P And you know how old my LO is. HAHA. It comes in waves. Sometimes I'm super productive, other times I leave dirty dishes in the sink for 3 days. :P

Of course, I'm pregnant. But alas, my fatigue/MS has been making me feel all sorts of out of it and not like my usual self. I'm usually a busy bee who complains about being too busy; but in reality likes it and THRIVES in high pressure mode.

I've def been taking it easier. And DH is doing a LOT more around the house. But, it makes me feel lazy!! :( It took me two days to do my usual weekly laundry routine. And cleaning? UGH. -- haven't even been able to dishes!

How do I get out of this funk!?
