E & F are doing the same thing. And are also not gaining weight. How do these people have chubby kids that love to eat? I want one of those.

@brownie: she eats every two hours, give or take, between SIDS and bottle.
@chopsuey: she ate lunch around 1230, then took a long nap so her bottle was at 345 and only drank 4ozs....

LO took a little over 6oz around 6 months but went back down to 6 oz and never got above that per bottle even now at 12 months. Around 9 months she also cut back a lot on the milk and wanted to eat more solids. Some days were as low as 12 oz. I tend to give her extra calories when she eats solids, like adding butter when I can. And she likes a lot of high calorie things (cheese, liverwurst, full fat yogurt and extra fat cottage cheese) so she has been able to put on weight but has always been on the small side anyway.

@Smurfette: We fought this. Every time we changed something it was like he was refusing all over again. He even stopped taking both formula and pumped breast milk. We ended up putting it in a sippy cup instead of a bottle.

We added oil to purees and he refused anything on a spoon. Ultimately, it just took some time until he decided to gain weight and eat.

Have you tried offering less more often?

@brownie: we have been bulking up the table food, cheese, avocado, yogurt, etc.....she was drinking 6ozs before no problem, then we tried 7ozs, per the pedi but she wasn't finishing them, so we went back to 6ozs and now she isn't finishing those.

You could try feeding less more often, we did this with my FTT son. We also go instructions (from our doctor) on how to increase the calories in the formula (I am assuming this is formula) so less ounces was more calories.

You could also bulk up the solids. We added a lot of calories through avocado, oil and butter added to the solids. So that may help.

R is 9.5 months old but for the couple days isn't finishing her bottles. She gets 6ozs every 4 hours. Then she eats 3 meals. He doctor wants her to drink more then 6ozs cause she hasn't gained any weight in a month and half.

Is this normal? Phase since we are traveling?
