Mine was down last year and they boosted it back up. Luckily, a year ish before I got pregnant. I was given an MMR booster after I gave birth, before I left the hospital. Most people get the vaccine in the hospital before going home. The good news is that rubella has been irradiated in the US! I want to say it was a bit of a grey area as to when was safe to administer it when BF'ing a baby, so my GP recommended I wait until she was 6 months old. She may have been more comfortable allowing me to wait a bit because my immunity was only low, not completely gone, but I'm not sure. Either way, it was no big deal!</p> <p>ETA: The MMR vaccine does wear off over time so it is not uncommon for people to lose their immunity to it. One pregnancy I found out I wasn't immune against fifth disease, but no other doctors told me about it (that was my second pregnancy). But this doctor said nothing about fifth disease. My OB/GYN said (in an online chart, I haven't spoken with her) that I would need to get that immunization after the baby is here. Anyone have any experience with this? Why wouldn't I be immune to this one? </p>
