All I can say is it gets better. I have a 12yr old, 8 yr old and 2yr old. So, I've been there A LOT lol
My 2yr old is not quite 28months - so still 'just' 2 and she is just now starting to listen. Like within the past month. I think it has a lot to do with her talking late. She's just now starting to talk so having our communication better is helping all things.
Hang in there.

My LO turns 2 this week and her listening definitely leaves a lot of room for improvement. It's so frustrating and i am just so tired of repeating myself! But I don't have any advice, just commiseration.

My 2 year old DS threw himself to the ground at least 4 times during our outings this morning. :crying: I'm trying to minimize picking him up since I'm 5.5 months pregnant and it hurts (he's 32 lbs), but I don't know how else to make him get up and move on... Anyone else experienced this? Is it hopefully just a phase?

It points to a larger issue which is that he doesn't listen to me AT ALL. He listens somewhat to his dad, but it seems everything I say is optional or just goes in one ear and out the other. Any tips for improving listening? I've read to get on their level, talk in simple words, perhaps give choices. What's worked best for you?
