It's just a lot easier than sunscreen, so I don't see why you wouldn't use one on LOs. My toddler sometimes finds her swim zip one and puts it on around the house. I don't think my 3.5 year old DS even knows a "traditional" bathing suit doesn't include a shirt. This will be DD's first summer in the sun (12 months) and I've been disappointed in the lack of rash guard suits for girls. The kids pretty much all do swim team here so once they join that they seem to stop wearing rash guards. It's so much easier than slathering my wiggly toddler with sunscreen though and I worry about effectiveness while in the water. The first time he needed a suit he was only 4m and we were vacationing in FL, so it made sense since he was only allowed to use sunscreen when absolutely necessary. And I kind of have a fear of him getting an awful sunburn and it being my fault. </p> <p>I can see how with girls though it could be a little different. LO2 isn't here yet and we already bought her some bathing suits for vacation next year. One has a rash guard and one doesn't.
