Being a homeowner stinks sometimes! Sorry you're dealing with all of that! In my experience (with my old house) if you get it dried up right away, you should be okay. It's when it sits that it can cause damage. The bath mat was soaked, so I took this as the opportunity to wash the mats and be good. So, I put them in the washing machine and went back to the bedroom to try and do some vacuuming. Well, about 10 minutes later I went back into the kitchen. I noticed some lint by a pile of lo's clothes (yes they were piled in the kitchen so I could wash them). Cue me stepping into water. There was about an inch deep amount of water. It was all in the laundry room and starting to come into the kitchen. I freaked. We got the shop vac and then used towels. I have a fan blowing. Servpro is coming to do a moisture check and see how bad it is. I think it is going to be okay. I just worry about mold. I'm allergic and it's just not cool to have mold. Plus side is I was wanting to clean out the dryer hose and now I have. Sigh. </p>
