even though my due date has mostly been the 7th of November- and CJ has been measuring either slightly ahead or right on for that due date the entire time.... my due date got bumped to the 12th! So instead of being 38 weeks today, I'm 37+2

I had an ultrasound today to check her positioning and she's looking good-- head down and all that-- she's still pretty active so she's not settled yet-- and I'm not even a teensy bit dilated yet-- so I'm guessing that means she's going to stay tucked in for another few weeks!

My NST (first one) went well-- it was kind of fun to watch the numbers spike up every now and then and just listen to her heartbeat for 20-30 minutes

How is everyone else doing?

So, I had my weekly appt yesterday (I am 38 weeks today!). My appt was 3:20...I didn't walk out of the office until 5:45. I was SO mad that I had to wait so long.

It went well, though. They did a cervical check since we last did one 2 weeks ago, and I'm still only 1cm dialated. Baby is head down, which is good. She didn't seem concerned by the pains I was having on Saturday, and she reviewed my birth plan, and said it looked great.

Unfortunately, my hospital doesn't have a birthing stool--apparently someone keeps stealing them? Weird!

@sweetooth: I know, it almost seems like it was just a few days ago! My midwife commented today that she couldn't believe I was already 34 weeks, and I was thinking yeah it seemed like my first appointment at 8 weeks couldn't have really been that long ago. I hope the other members of our IF board that are still struggling have the same luck that we did soon.

Reviving this thread since the November Mamas thread is getting out of control! I had my 34 week appointment today and my first NST. I actually really enjoyed the NST, lol. I sat there in a recliner with the wireless monitors and for about half an hour listened to the heartbeat and watched it on the monitor. Baby did great, so that was good to hear. My OB appointment was pretty boring and everything's looking good. I can't believe my next appointment kicks off internal checks and weekly appointments after that!

@kokobee: I haven't seen my midwife yet. My u/s was at MFM the day after my last appointment. I will let you know on Tuesday when I have my 32w (32w4d) appointment.

I was a transverse baby. The OB manually turned me from the inside (reached his hands up there...this is the visual my mom has given all my life lol) during L&D and I ended up turning again just before I was delivered, with the cord wrapped around my neck. The OB was not in the room, but a young intern was and he had no clue what to do. The OB walked in just in time and cut the cord off. Not to scare you, just my mom's experience with a transverse baby, but that was back in the day and she never had an u/s...today that sort of thing shouldn't happen.

ETA: She was still breech less than a week ago, so just from my experience, I think you ladies still have some time!

I had a boring appt last Friday but found out that baby is in a Transverse position! No wonder his movements and kicks have been a little painful. Hoping baby will start transitioning head down soon. Anyone else have baby in the Transverse position?

@Maysprout: Hope everything goes well at your ultrasound. Try not to worry too much! If they don't seem concerned at this point, then I would try not to be concerned either. That stinks that there was a miscommunication and things didn't get done when you expected them to be. Hopefully your next appointment with the female doctor goes a little more smoothly :)

@lilteacherbee: Very cute pictures.

I had an alright appointment today. I have to go for another ultrasound though because my belly is measuring a little behind, not really at the concerning level but on the slightly smaller side and that combined with my single umbilical artery they want another ultrasound. I've gained about 20 lbs at this point (almost 34 weeks) but only 18 lbs according to them so I donno - I'm not working out at this point but I do move around a lot, guess I just need to carry more snacks around. But baby moves around a lot and had a strong heartbeat so hopefully everything is good. Ultrasound is not for 2 weeks though, I'm not sure if it was supposed to be sooner or not, the dr was nice but hard to understand and he didn't mark anything on the chart. I'm just worried because I'll be close to 36 weeks at the ultrasound and I want what's best for her but also don't want to kick her out too early and I feel like if there's anything concerning they're going to get itchy to induce at that point. I guess we'll see, they've been pretty laid back so far, I'm just slightly worried we'll have a baby a bit earlier than expected and my DH won't be able to take off yet.

I was supposed to have my GBS test today but he forgot I guess and I felt awkward mentioning it so next appointment I have a female dr. so I just had the scheduler mark it down that it was still needed. And I was supposed to get a flu shot but somehow that didn't get marked down either so no one came in and I just said it's fine we'll do it at next appointment too.

I had a "boring" appointment this morning - my first after just 2 weeks - can't believe I'm so far along! Everything's doing well so far, we'll see how baby boy's growing at the next appointment, hopefully not *too* much. I asked my midwife about how it would work with an induction, and she said they would monitor me to see how baby and the placenta are doing, plus my body's readiness. If everything continues to look good they'd let me go to my due or a few days later, but not much after that.

But when she looked at a calendar she realized my due date is on the weekend before Thanksgiving. Apparently the hospital doesn't allow schedule inductions on the weekend (WTF?) and it's likely to be really busy the week of Thanksgiving with everyone trying to have babies before the holiday. And of course we wouldn't schedule it on a holiday. So...we'll likely induce sometime at the end of the week before - 11/21, 11/22. It feels so close and real now. By his due date he'll most likely already be in our arms!

@ms.janedoe: Yay for a good appointment! I'm glad the doctor change turned out okay too :)

I had a boring appointment yesterday too. Everything looks good. I've gained exactly 20 pounds. They were going to give me the Tdap vaccine, but the office was actually out of them, so I'll get it when I go back in 2 weeks. I saw the NP this time and she mentioned that she saw the report from last week from the ultrasound at MFM. She said that more than likely, they will induce at 39 weeks due to the GD, him measuring way ahead, and me being small. I'm perfectly okay with that. I'm really nervous about going overdue with a huge baby and something going wrong. Also, apparently when you have GD, the placenta goes "bad" (stops working as well) earlier than with a non-GD pregnancy, which is why I guess they induce.

A little too "into it" for me (had her eyes closed when she was using the Doppler and making comments like, "Ohhh...I could just listen to that for hours..."), but very nice! I've gained 24 pounds so far, blood pressure is great, baby girl is measuring right on track...so it's all good!

It freaked me out to turn the page in my calendar and make an appointment in November! Aaaaahh!! I don't want the fall to fly by!
The ultrasound was great!! It took awhile to get him moving, but he finally got there. It was so nice being in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere without all the medical stuff for once! My grandmother was able to go too (along with DH, my parents, and my sister), which made me so happy because she's one of my favorite people ever. Her husband (my grandfather who recently passed away) is the one that everyone thinks the baby looks like, so I think it was extra special for her. Plus, she thought the technology was crazy!!

Here are some of my faves
