I told my RE that the problem is he gives femara rather than cocaine, which seems to be more effective.</p> <p>I'm having a freak out and am extra moody. If this IUI didn't work, the plan is IVF. I'm dreading everything about it, and having issues with the clinic over whether I need estrogen. (Contraindicated due to atypical migraines) my beta is tomorrow at 14dpIUI/13DPO. So hoping for a positive! I don't feel good about any option and prayed to God he would make it clear what I should do. I then googled "freak out before IVF" and stumbled onto a blog that sounded like me, with twins. Turned out she got pregnant on third IUI as they were planning IVF, and I keep hoping for boy/girl twins so we could be done. I hope it's a sign. What upsets me is the fact that she started smoking cigarettes again and is breastfeeding. I'm not judging her in any way but it upsets me. I'm trying everything in order to have a baby and she does have one and can't even give up smoking for the baby. I think I'm just picking at everything. We started getting holiday cards last night from friends/family and babies are everywhere. I'm going tomorrow but the results take about 3 weeks. We will hopefully be ready to begin IUI in January 2016. I'm not doing the Clomid anymore as it messed with my cycle. I had a second opinion consult with a new RE. He was very concerned about my low AMH, and is concerned I won't stim well enough to do IVF. :sad: I explained that the current RE thinks I stim well and estimated 10-15 eggs. He said with my numbers, he'd be happy to get 6-8 eggs from IVF, and wants to see how I stim for himself. He thinks due to my low AMH, I need to stimulate more eggs to have a shot, and that I haven't been given enough meds to stimulate me enough to get pregnant. He also had concerns that 2/3 IUIs were too early. The current RE says the pregnancy rates are the same from 12-36 hours after trigger, the new RE says postwash sperm only live 16 hours. His recommendation is clomid/menopur/IUI for 1-2 cycles and see how I stim. If I stim ok and it doesn't work, then probably IVF. Since my current RE has always been happy with my response, I think I will respond fine. New RE is very unlikely to cancel a cycle for too many follicles, as opposed to my current RE who was ok with 2-3 because the first two didn't work. New RE works 7 days a week, and while he is 45 minutes from work compared to 20 minutes (and near my house), seems to be better about getting people in, and is an acupuncturist as well as RE. Prior to this appointment, I figured that I needed IVF if this third IUI didn't work, but that I had decent odds for IVF. Now I don't know what to think.</p> <p>My questions:<br /> 1. What would you do? Go with IVF at the current place, or try the new place?<br /> 2.
