Thank you ladies! I appreciate all of your stories! It really does show just how different everyone experiences can be, we'll just have to wait a month or so to see how our story compares. Either way, we're ready for a right away BFP, or one that takes a little longer. :)
Hoping that the laid back approach will work to our benefit. :)

@WinterBee: just thought I'd give you a different perspective, because although these lucky bees got pregnant NTNP, it's been a little different for me and DH. We started out NTNP in October, thought we'd get KU right away, but not so lucky. We NTNP for 2 or 3 cycles, but we're now in our 4th cycle of TTC. It doesn't always happen so quickly! I am excited this time though.. I used an OPK and was able to get a peak reading and also charted this month for the first time (it's super easy!) and was able to pinpoint my O date. Currently I'm 6dpo with fingers crossed this works out this time around!

I know 6 months isn't very long in the grand scheme of things, and there are plenty of bees who have been trying WAY longer.. but it's been an emotionally difficult time for me, so I'm grateful for hellobee to help me through it. I guess I just wanted you to see the other side of things! Best wishes that you and your DH have all of the luck in the world :)

For me, NTNP = getting pregnant on the very first try. (Lo is now 6 months old!).

Never charted or used opks.

We decided to NTNP right after I got my period back postpartum (6 mos). Given we hadn't been able to get pregnant on our own before in 10+ months we didn't think we'd get pregnant without help and would seek treatment months down the road if still not pregnant. At just 9 months postpartum I ended up pregnant with twins! I do believe that not stressing about trying really helped.

I've been pregnant 3 times and every time we were technically NTNP. I had been tracking my cycles but wasn't temping or using OPKs. I'm very aware of my body though and knew the signs of ovulation. It definitely could happen quicker than you think... I told DH I thought it would take 6ish months and about 8 days after we got home from our honeymoon I got a BFP. We had our first baby 9 months and 11 days after our wedding :silly:

We were ttc without any of the tracking stuff so sort of ntnp and I got pregnant the first month with dd.

We were ntnp for a few months the second time around, and then had to ttc for awhile before I got pregnant. I think it was the seventh cycle, but ten months in of really ttc.

We were NTNP after my first daughter was born. I got my period back at 11 weeks post partum and was EBF. When she 9 months old and I still wasn't pregnant, we started officially "trying" which meant purposely timing sex around when I thought I ovulated. I was pretty sure I knew when I ovulated, but wanted to use an OPK to make sure. We DTD the night I got my first positive OPK and the night after. 8 days after that, I got a BFP! DD1 was 10.5 months old when I got pregnant.

I don't know if I really consider myself NTNP because I was tracking my cycle, but we were trying NOT to dtd around ovulation. I had just gotten my period back after LO1 (at 11 months pp), so I was using OPKs to try to figure out if I would have long cycles again (pre-LO, they were always 45ish days long). We were going to be officially TTC after a couple of months anyway.

We had an "oops" the day after ovulation, but I figured nothing would happen because it took over a year of actively TTC to get pregnant with my first LO. Well, all it took was once and I was shocked!

@Anagram: I'm still learning about TTC, I know what an OPK is, but I have no idea when I O, or how to chart. I use a period tracker, but that's just because I forget so easily and it gives me a heads up when AF is coming.
I think we'll just have sex as normal, then by the fall if no BFP, then onto sexy time every day! Woot!

We NTNPd (or maybe it's just the laid back method of trying) by just dtd every single day. I'd read that even with perfect timing, there is only a 30% chance of conceiving every month, so I was still kinda surprised when only 3 weeks after we stopped pulling the goalie, I realized my period was a few days late and I was pregnant.

I didn't even know what an OPK was at that point and had no clue when I ovulated each month.

We sort of used NFP to prevent for a year after I had gone off birth control, but we got lax about it and had baby fever so it was NTNP-ish. We got pregnant, and we have an amazing 18 month old now :)

Went off BCp and we were using POM, with the caveat of there was an ooopsie we were good with it. The second cycle off BCP,DH decided not to pull out and now we hae a 13 month old. We are pretty mich takig the same approach again now and last month, same thing. dH didn't pull out one time and I got pregnant but ended in CP. So we are two for two with that approach lol.

Hello everyone,

I wasn't sure where to put this thread.
Who here is/has NTNP, how is it going for you?
Did you find you were stressed out at all?
Did you end up pregnant NTNP or did you have to move on to TTC before becoming pregnant?

Interested to hear some experiences. I have 1 month of BCP left, then moving on to NTNP. :)
