<p>The flower ottoman is really cute but it looks like a lot of work! Maybe i am just feeling lazy....<br />
as far as patterns, i would try wandering the aisles at the fabric store and see if inspiration strikes. You have a lot of delicate prints right now so maybe something bolder or with a bigger print would be fun. Or you might find some textured fabric to work with that would give the ottoman some depth.<br />
If you are looking for color combos i would tentatively lean toward pink and brown, but again i would go to the fabric store and get a sense of what the options are. Good luck!

<p>I'm trying to put the last touches on the nursery decor (haha, LO is only 14 weeks old....) and I want to make one of those round, stuffed pouf ottomans to go with our rocking chair. I can't decide what color to make it. Her nursery is mainly pink and white but has chocolate brown thrown in. I wanted it soft and feminine but modern. We live in a rental, so we cannot paint or change the flooring (beige, blech!). Here are a couple pictures of some of her existing furniture. We have polka dots and stripes already.</p>
<p>Crib and bedding:<br />
<a href="http://photobucket.com"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/ddominatrix/Charlotte%20June/cribsmall.jpg" alt="crib small" /></a></p>
<p>Rocking chair:<br />
<a href="http://photobucket.com"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/ddominatrix/Charlotte%20June/chairsmall.jpg" alt="chair small" /></a></p>
<p>Bookshelf with stripe/dot baskets:<br />
<a href="http://photobucket.com"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/ddominatrix/Charlotte%20June/shelfsmall.jpg" alt="shelf small" /></a></p>
<p>We have curtains on their way that are white ruffles like these:<br />
<a href="http://s4.thisnext.com/media/largest_dimension/8A0C08B3.jpg"></p>
<p>I am making a rug like this one in shades of pink, white and brown:<br />
</a><a href="http://photobucket.com"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/ddominatrix/Charlotte%20June/nurseryrug.jpg" alt="Photobucket" /></a></p>
<p>She has a white dresser with a little bit of pink on the knobs:<br />
<a href="http://photobucket.com"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/ddominatrix/Charlotte%20June/431146_2828275268429_1088073334_n.jpg" alt="Photobucket" /></a></p>
<p>This is what I am wanting:<br />
<img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fSGxLVXLNEA/TdZ9K-DhCxI/AAAAAAAAORo/eVt1f1YZj6s/s1600/ETSY-FINDS_CHEVRON-PATTERN-OTTOMAN-POUF_BELLE-MAISON-BLOG-3.jpg" /></p>
<p>But I can't decide what color or pattern to make it. I want it either patterned or textured. I have the dots, stripes and I will have the chevrons in the rug. I don't want to go overboard. I was kind of thinking doing 3D flowers on it like this:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.decorpad.com/photos/2012/05/27/deb930837d72.jpg" /></p>
<p>In shades of pink and maybe white. Would that be too much? What colors should I do the ottoman in if I don't do the flowers? Pink/white? Pink/brown? Brown/white?</p>
<p>Sorry, I know it's a pic heavy post. I'm just kind of lost... I appreciate the help!
