I believe the current recommendation is to try to use water with fluoride SOME of the time. So we do one day with our city water (has fluoride) and one day with bottled water without fluoride.

Here's an article from the CDC I shared with DH: http://www.cdc.gov/fluoridation/safety/infant_formula.htm

I was told to use Nursery water by our old ped. I but that or Target brand "baby water". I never noticed if they have fluoride, but if it's mean for mixing formula it must be fine, right?

We use distilled water instead of nursery water for formula.

What is nursery water? How much fluoride is in it?

Most municipalities add fluoride to their tap water. So I'd assume unless nursery water has a crazy amount of fluoride it should be fine?

Definitely call your ped in the morning if you're worried!

I was breastfeeding my DS the first week after he was born but then ended up in the ICU because of a severe post partum hemorrhage. My DH started feeding him powdered formula and because I'm so anemic right now we decided to continue with formula. I just realized my husband has been buying nursery water with added flouride. So DS has been drinking formula which already has flouride plus water with flouride. I'm freaking out a little! I breastfed my DD and we were on well water so I've never dealt with this before. Has anyone else used nursery water with flouride to mix formula?? Is it safe?!
