I've done 2 half marathons and work out 5x a week while nursing, no supply issues as long as I stay over 2k calories and drink my gallon of water a day!

Listen to your body - that's the rule. As you see here, some people exercise and don't have any trouble, where some will see a big drop in supply. Load up on water and healthy fats, too, which should really help.

With DD1, I started 30DS around 5 or 6 weeks PP, and never had any issues.

I just started Piyo workouts at 3 weeks PP, but I'm only doing the shorter, less intense workouts. It's only been a few days but DD2 is still a peeing/pooping pro, so hopefully that continues to stay the same!

I did my first real pp CrossFit workout 6-8 week pp (after clearance from my OB). That night I got mastitis. I don't recall my sports bra being too tight but it probably was. I decided not to go so full force after that. Lack of energy from not sleeping at night really helped control that anyway. My supply was not effected.

At my 6w PP visit, my doctor didn't say anything about any rules besides staying hydrated. I've gone back to my normal exercise routine and haven't noticed any changes in supply or anything!

I don't run nearly as much as I did before LO, but I haven't noticed any supply issues.

I never notice a dip when I have intense workout weeks. I just make sure to stay hydrated.

i started working out and running 6 weeks pp and maintained a strenuous exercise regimen ever since. LO (ebf) is now 13 months and still breastfeeds. obviously i produce much less milk now as she's on solids but i truly think breastfeeding is supply and demand. i never noticed dips in supply even if i was running 6 miles a day. just ensure you are eating a lot of calories and drink lots of water! i only noticed dips when AF returned at 8 months and it was temporary. i just pumped to get the supply back up.

I've started doing the 30 day shred and so far my supply seems okay. I think it just depends on the person.

I couldn't do much more than walking or my supply dipped. I ate a ton so it wasn't lack of calories, my body just didn't like to produce milk if I did more strenuous exercise. But I know people who work out regularly and nurse with no problem, so I think you really just have to listen to your body.

Are there any hard and fast exercise rules, aside from making sure you eat enough? I

I'd like to start walking often with the girls and eventually maybe the C25K. Not sure if I need to be worried about supply at all!
