Thank you everyone! These were all great ideas, and some of the websites I'd never heard of for nursing clothes were great!
Ultimately I went with @Bees_Knees suggestion, that dress from lands end is perfect and came yesterday (in bright pink! I wanted blue, but they didn't have my size.)
@Gingerbee, I already have 3 of those dresses from llbean! I was looking for something just slightly dressier, but that was my backup if I couldn't find anything.

As always I am so grateful for this online community, I don't have a village to support me, as we live across the country from our friends and family.
thanks again everyone :)

Loyal Hana is nice but it runs really large since a lot of their nursing items also double as maternity wear.

I second the suggestion of a pretty top and skirt if you can't find a nursing friendly dress.

I just had my baby dedicated yesterday and surprised myself by wearing a totally non-nursing friendly dress and I brought bottles for my baby. First time in 8 months giving a bottle to my baby when I'm there with her. It was actually really nice though.

I've been thrilled with the nursing dresses I've bought here:

I just discovered the brand loyal Hana-- they sell it at Nordstrom among other places so free shipping there-- LOVE it! I have big boobs and look way too cleavagey in v necks or wrap dresses and hate the jersey/clingy fabric most birsig clothes seem to have. The loyal Hana clothes I've gotten have little invisible zippers on the front to make it nursing friendly but they fit like normal clothes I'd wear. I'm wearing this one for lo2's baby naming (sort of the Jewish equivalent) though it's liger on me than the model which is weird bc I have long legs

I lied, it's the Summer Knit Dress from LL Bean, not the Lands End one.

I had good luck with shirt style dresses that buttoned down the front. Plus a scarf.

@bhbee: DS2 is 10 mo so normally I wouldn't have needed such "easy access"...but we went to Easter Vigil Mass so I wasn't taking any chances since it was hours after his bedtime 😂 It worked great, nursed him in the front row and no one (including DH, who was sitting right next to me) even noticed!

@bees_knees: I wore this in a several years old pattern for my second's baptism

My first was 5m so a little more flexible and I wore a zip up dress that I had to half take off to nurse. I think I pumped a bottle for church just in case, and the luncheon was at our place so I could undress to nurse in our room by then.

The Lands End dress usually comes in all sorts of lengths and prints (I have a elbow length sleeve one) and it's amazing.

I just had this same problem! I got this dress from Lands End based in recs from here...it was AWESOME for nursing in and super flattering (and comfy!)

https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-fit-and-flare-dress/id_297664?sku_0=::Z55

There are a couple other prints if you search the site. Also, it runs kind of big. I usually wear a M/L and I actually went with a small.

What about a stretchy v neck dress with a really nice scarf and sweater? I have this maxi from Old Navy and it works perfectly for nursing. I am 5'8', size 12 pants, DD cup, and got a large tall. I also wore something super similar for Easter that was knee length. I don't like most nursing dresses so I usually just get regular dresses with easy access.

I have a dress similar to this from a couple years ago (top looks the same but different skirt). I wore it on Easter and nursing was no problem!

Help! We are having my daughter baptized in two weeks, and I don't have anything that is nursing friendly (or that fits...cuz childbirth yeah...)
I'm 5'6, pear shaped, wearing a size 12/14 on bottom M/L on top.

I typically look good in A-Line dresses with a little bit of structure, and don't look good in wrap dresses.
All I can find that works for nursing is wrap dresses!

Please help me out, send me links, pics, etc.
THANK YOU!!
