There was a small window of time when i used the boppy. When I nurse him out of the house I just contort myself until we're comfy enough. I also used an A&A blanket as a cover. Now I just use a scarf, or burp rag, or sometimes even my shirt. It gets easier each time you do it!

Nope and you'll find that you won't need it after you get used to it and they get bigger. What you'll need is a HUGE cover b/c they tend to squirm the older they get. I'm sure my LO flashed me a couple of times.... :P

I use a boppy at home but not when I'm out. I'll just hold her in my arm under a nursing cover when I feed her in public.

@sloaneandpuffy: I was kind of thinking of doing this!

I like the idea of using the diaper bag :) I'm getting more comfortable in different positions and am thinking of running errands tomorrow and where I need to go is about 20 minutes from home, so jetting back to the house isn't going to be as easy as it was yesterday.

When he was smaller, I would bring it and nurse in the backseat of the car. Now that he's stronger and older, I just use my arm/cradle but still use a boppy at home because i'm lazy and it's easy.

Cross cradle when tiny. I can even do it standing up. If I'm at someone else's house I sit cross legged on the couch, sometimes with a throw pillow.

Nope. When she was tiny, I used the football hold with my diaper bag beside me for support. As I got used to nursing without a pillow, I switched to cradle hold with my arms at home and in public.

Nope. Too much stuff to carry, which is why I would practice feeding her in my arms without a support and why I learned how to BF her in the carrier.

no, i just use my arm. depending on how old your LO is, i used the cross cradle when she was a newborn - allows you to control their head better when their necks are all floppy. i usually sat her butt in the crook of my elbow and had my hand supporting the back of her neck, and then i put her on the boob. and when she got too big for me to do that, i started using the cradle hold.

Nope...hence the reason I didn't NIP until I managed to figure out how to nurse without any pillows/positioners! It took about 10 wks for me to feel comfortable...and then LO got really distractible and that added a whole other layer of difficulty to it.
