I use a cover most of the time because I'm more comfortable that way. There have been times where I just go to a less crowded area to latch her on and not worry about the cover. I asked DH if he cared either way and he said he doesn't because you see just as much cleavage on other women wearing low cut shirts as you do when I'm nursing without a cover.

I always wear a cover, for my own comfort. I don't care if other people wear one. But my LO still has latching issues at 3 months and it and it can take us a while of several attempts to get her latched on. I have very large breasts and it's a WHOLE lotta tissue hanging out there in the wind when the baby is refusing to latch one.

There have been times when after she's finally latched on really well that I will arrange my shirts to cover most everything and then take the cover back off if it's hot. But usually I just leave it on.

I always used one, mostly b/c DD can randomly unlatch, move around, etc and I do not want to flash the whole boob/nipples to other people!

I use an A&A blanket out in public. Sometimes I forget to bring one and I'll go somewhere with less foot traffic. I don't cover him up, but I do drape it across all the other part of my breast exposed. It's just too much to not

I used to use a cover, but found using a light scarf was easier--it doesn't block as much as the a "real" cover, but it's easier to get lo latched and then use it to cover the top of my breast/get a little less exposed.

I've never used a cover with either of my kids. I definitely tried to be more discrete with lo1 because I was afraid someone would say something nasty to me. With lo2 (now 3 months old) I'm definitely more confident. I try to wear a nursing singlet on underneath my shirts as to not show my stomach but if baby is hungry then I will feed her! My husband hasn't had a problem with it either and he'd gladly defend me if someone had something to say!

I tried to use a cover because it made my husband more comfortable (and I was not really comfortable NIP either) but there were times LO would not eat under the cover, so I would usually try to turn toward a corner or something so I could take the cover off and get her latched.

I 100% support NIP without a cover though. It's a legal right.

I feed everywhere imaginable without a cover, which isn't surprising since I have been nursing for close to 3 years straight now. I do the tank top method because the only thing I don't want people seeing is my stomach.

I am all about the two shirt method. I am comfortable nursing in public but I hate when he keeps popping off! The one time I tried to use a blanket when he was older he was punching and kicking the blanket like a game. Much more obvious! Lol!

I cover up in public for the most part. My husband is more comfortable with that and I have no issue accommodating him since it's easy enough. If baby fights the cover then no big deal, I'll nurse without it if that's what it takes to get baby fed, and hubs is cool with that.

I don't want to get flamed for this, so please know I'm not judging anyone, just explaining based on myself. With my first, I breastfed everywhere, and although I'm a private person by nature and covered up, I felt very much the same way you do....boobs are for babies and have little sexual function. However, in the 3 years since the first go round, a large part of my development has been to reclaim my body and sexual awareness. In a way, that means reclaiming my breasts as well. Yes, I feed my baby with them, but they are also mine and a part of my sexual being. IF I have to feed in mixed public I am careful to always coverup. In a perfect world there would be more support for nursing women with relaxing, clean, readily available dedicated nursing rooms with waitstaff everywhere. Since that's not the case, I do what's necessary.

Never. Too bulky, was way too hot in the summer (when I was having to make these decisions for the first time), takes up too much space in the diaper bag, I doubt LO would tolerate it at this point, and really I just don't think it's necessary.
