Same as @Foodnerd81, just sort of scrunch my bra around it. I use reusables, and it works. Though I'm only at home, since we don't nurse properly yet. I'm glad you mentioned it though. I like to be prepared, and I hadn't thought of that!

@Bubbles: same! Took awhile to figure that one out. But it is the best way to keep from looking for them, especially for motn feedings.

I was using the kind with the adhesive on the back so they never fell out. Now I've switched to resizable and I just tuck my bra down to cover the nursing pad and keep it contained.

Some of the covers have a little pocket to tuck it in. I didn't use a cover, I just folded it in half and tucked it in my diaper bag until LO was done.

@Bubbles: great idea! I may try this! Seems like a handy and hidden spot to put it.

@Foodnerd81: I'll have to practice this at home before I do this in public, but I could see this working too!

@Mrsk: I kind of fold the nursing tank or bra down around the pad, so folding it in, instead of away from me. Then it's held in place and covered. You can use the sticky pads on the back but they only hold it so much really.

@Ash: @Adira: where do you put them when you take them out? Maybe I'm just being super awkward but we are goi g out for dinner tonight with friends and I know I'll probably have to nurse DS at some point during the meal...where do I take them out and put them discreetly? I feel like I'm 13 again worrying about pads for my first period! So awkward feeling!

I used to just remove them before I tried to nurse - totally agree that they were a pain! I'd just reach in and remove them and then adjust my shirt as needed for nursing.

This may seem like a silly question but here goes...I wore disposable nursing pads today at 3 weeks pp as we were having friends over and I have noticed that the side I'm not feeding on leaks. I went to feed DS while our friends were over and had the nursing pads tucked inside my nursing tank. When I pulled down the nursing tank the nursing pad was there and bunched up under ds's head and the. fell out, it was kinda awkward.

What do you do with the nursing pad when you pull down your shirt/bra to nurse? How do you keep it from bunching up, falling out or being visible? I'm already working on keeping things contained so I don't flash everyone the goods when I latch him on, these pads are just one more thing!
What do you do?
