Have you considered a biologic (Enbrel, Remicade, or Humira)? No personal experience taking them but since they are antibody proteins there's barely any that gets into the milk and what does get into the milk is digested/not active in the infant.

@Mrs. Champagne: I'm attempting that now haha. I love gluten. But am willing to try pretty much anything else before weaning. Thanks :)i

@anonysquire: that sucks. My grandpa has had it since his early twenties. What a horrible disease. Have you tried going paleo or gluten free? That seemed to help my one friend.

@Mrs. Champagne: yes. Interesting. Mine has been getting increasingly worse since June. I'm guessing I just need to suck it up til I wean.

Rheumatoid arthritis?

I have two friends with it that said it was almost in remission while nursing and got bad when weaning! They didn't need medicine while nursing. One did go paleo and that helped a lot.

Anyone know of a remedy for RA that is nursing friendly? Yes I am aware I can wean my kids, I'd rather not at the moment if possible. Just looking for positive stories of how you managed your RA naturally or with diet or something besides meds that could harm a bebe. Thanks!!
