Nurse him while he is drowsy or even still asleep. This happened to me too and that was how I got my LO back

Try catching him when he's sleepy - a dream feed. Get him when he's not really paying attention and just goes on instinct ... Nursing strikes blow :(

I hope things are better, but I agree, I would try lots of skin to skin contact (without any pressure to latch) in a calm environment.

Sorry to hear that your wee man is on strike! Have you tried nursing right before he goes to sleep and as soon as he wakes up? I had success if I got my LO latched in before she woke up enough to know what she was doing ;-) you could also try lots of casual skin to skin cuddles or side-lying and dangle nursing.

Good luck!

My son is 6.5 months old and is exclusively breastfed. He's bit me a few times before but yesterday he bit me hard and caught me off guard. I jumped and yelped and it really scared him. Now he refuses to nurse. As soon as I try he fights and cries and it is just heart breaking. I've tried different positions and different places with no luck. He definitely isn't trying to wean. He was nursing just fine up until this incident. Does any one have any tips or support or any thing? I feel like such a horrible mother. I scared him and now he'd rather starve than nurse again :-(
