There could be something else that is bothering him that makes nursing uncomfortable for him. Perhaps he's teething? Or maybe he has an ear infection so laying on his side to eat off the boob hurts? Have you tried different positions? I'd keep offering the boobs but know that by introducing a bottle, he might decide he prefers that. B went through a period like that several weeks ago. He went almost two weeks without nursing. Then, out of nowhere, he started up again. We haven't had any issues since.</p> <p>Just continue to offer up the boob. I feel like babies have strange preferences/fussy moments that come and go. Just keep offering the breast [even though it sucks to have it refused and feels totally rejecting, at least for me] and he'll come back to it! We nurse before naps and before bed, and for his MOTN wake up. He is 16 weeks old. </p> <p>The past couple nights he has refused to nurse to sleep. Our routine is bath, bottle, nurse, bed. He'll usually drink his entire bottle, then nurse to sleep. Now, he pops off the breast every few seconds and turns away. Ok, fine... I figured he was just full. </p> <p>Tonight, during his MOTN wake up, he flat out refused to nurse. He screamed and cried until I gave him a bottle. What gives? Anyone have this happen? I fear he just prefers the bottle now, and won't ever want to nurse again. </p>
