thanks for the update! DD2 is almost a year old now so I've been wondering about weaning and how she'll take milk. I totally understand about bottles and sippies. They don't take as much in with sippies, I know. Whatever works! That's great she's taking a bottle!!

@purrpletulips: Lo likes nursing before she naps and goes to bed so I plan on letting her do that for as long as she wants.. Even after I dry up too.
Ive considered tandem nursing, but I think life would be easier if I only had to nurse 1. I'm so tired! :)

I weaned long before LO#2 came into being but still regularly attend LLL meetings. There are several women there who continued to allow their LO to nurse even though they were fairly sure they had dried up. Once their colostrum came in their LO were able to get that and then they tandem nursed for a while.

At 14 weeks pregnant i'mjust about dried up. I'd say I produce 4-6 ounces total/day now. Enough for just one session.

LO's 5 days shy of turning 15 months and I have no idea how much longer I'll last, but will nurse for as long as I can. She still wakes to nurse at night, so i gave her a bottle last night and she took it!

I also gave her 5 ounces of whole milk before she took her nap today. (1.5 hours and counting!).

I know giving her a bottle at this age probably isn't a good idea, but she doesn't drink much milk if I give it to her in a sippy.

It makes me sad that my nursing days are almost over (for now), but I'm relieved too. My nipples and boobs have been so sore lately..

Phew. Just wanted to share my nursing while pregnant progress!
