At both nap times during the day, then a lot at night. He's just too interested in life to care about nursing during the day, but night times aren't fun.

These posts make me feel much better about DD not being nightweaned. Not less tired, but better.

DD is 12 months and usually nurses 4 times a day. Wakeup, before daycare, after daycare, and bedtime. I don't pump when she's at school because she won't drink pumped milk anymore for some reason.

We're trying to get her to drink cows milk, but she will only drink a sip or two so she basically gets food and water for the 6 hours a day she's at school. On weekends she usually nurses once or twice more. I would love to get her drinking more wcm and nursing less, but I don't know how to do it!

16 months, nursing first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. We night-weaned when she was 4 months. Except when she's sick.

Since she turned 12+ months, it's awesome not having to pump at work anymore. But the flip side of that is that I don't feel like it's ever okay for me to miss bedtime, since obviously we put away all the bottles months ago. Before she was 12 months I could miss bedtime and DH would just give her a bottle. I don't think it would go over well if I just skipped out these days.

My 17 month old usually nurses 4 times a day. I don't nurse her overnight anymore. She won't drink WCM, but she loves plain drinkable yogurt. I mix whole milk Greek yogurt with WCM in a reusable Squeezie.

Until recently, DD nursed once before bed, and however many times it took for her to sleep at night. I thought we'd pretty much day weaned. Turns out she has other ideas. Now that she's learned to pull herself up, her latest skill is to sneak up on me when I sit down, and start nursing. I guess she's not ready to be done after all...

On weekends when we're together all day my 15 month old nurses at wake-up, before and after both naps, right before dinner, before bed, and twice overnight. So, 9x/24 hours.

However! I only pump once during the workday, generally just 3-4 ounces. I send what I pump and he gets another 8 ounces of cow milk. So, I think a lot of his frequent weekend nursing is comfort/connection rather than nutritive.

My LO is 14mos & nurses about 3-4 times a day and drinks wcm several times each day, as well. Fortunately she has started sttn more consistently the last week or 2, so those are all mostly before naps & bedtime sessions, so manageable. I will also nurse if we are out & she needs tided over until we can get home for a meal, or for comfort. I added wcm more because I felt my supply was down & she wasn't satisfied with the volume, more than trying to wean. At the moment I intend to keep going unless I have a good reason to stop.

My DD is turning 1 tomorrow and still nursing about 3x/day. Mostly before sleeping times and right when she gets up in the morning. She has had WCM and will drink it. I think the nursing is definitely more of a comfort thing. I want to drop the middle feed and only nurse in the morning and at night but sometimes when she's fussy it's just easier to pop the boob out...

My daughter is 12.5 months and nurses 2-4 times a day, depending on when I'm working. Usually AM, after daycare and again in the evening (but these two are only when I'm not working day shifts) and once at bedtime.

LO is 13.5 months. We started weaning a week ago because LO was nursing every 10 minutes during the day and driving me mad. We dropped to morning and night last weekend. I think we'll stay at 2x daily for a couple weeks before dropping another session. I hope to be done by 15 months.

My LOs are 26 months and we are down to 3 times per day (and maybe once overnight)!

@petitenoisette: I was in the same spot up till about 21 months, but at least as they get older they can understand that it's not time to nurse now, but you can nurse at nap, bedtime, whatever. It was a rocky couple days cutting down to 4 times a day, but they adjusted well after a couple days!

We are at 12.5 months. Successfully day weaned and nursing 6 am/5 pm/7 pm. Transitioning in sippy cup at daycare from breast milk to WCM. Next hoping to drop the 5 pm/home from work feeding. But happy to keep going with the other two for a while!

LO is 17 months old and nurses up to 6 times per day! Morning, before nap, sometimes afternoon, bedtime, and up to twice overnight. I'm on summer break but once I start back up at school will definitely be cutting down to just morning/bedtime. She can't do WCM so that's partly why she's still nursing so much.
