We're attending one at a local museum. </p> <p>However, there are still lots of things to do, at home. </p> <p>Attach a whole lot of balloons to your ceiling with a shower curtain liner, and release at a predetermined time. I think we're gunna do this in the bathtub with DD, complete with glow sticks and bath paints (which would probably be weird for anyone but the 3.5 year old in your group)</p> <p>Make "Things I'd like to do in 2016" collages with magazine cut outs. </p> <p>Decorate cookies! Maybe star or clock shapes? </p> <p>Chocolate milk or sparkling cider served in plastic champagne glasses. Swizzle straws!</p> <p>Let the kids help cook. I'll like to do something fun for all the kids. There will be 3.5, 8 and 12 year olds and of course all the adults.</p> <p>I think I'll pre-record a ball drop from another time zone. Get some fun hats, silly glasses and noise makers. Maybe a movie night complete with popcorn and s'mores? We do that often and the kids always love that!</p> <p>What are some other fun things to celebrate NY Eve's with kids?</p> <p>P.S. Should I just go to Party City? Or am I better of ordering from Oriental Trading (etc) for such a big group? </p>
