@hilsy85: oh yeah, I know. That's why I'm looking either for both, used or said LO would just have to tough it out in the cold each morning until the car warms up (inside a garage, but not heated). The Bundleme is for the stroller (regular seat, not the car seat).

@Anagram: I would not use the 7am enfant (or any of the bundle mes) in a car seat...it's waaaay too thick. I think the ONLY safe bundlers for carseats are the shower cap style ones.

@Anagram: I had the shower cap cover thing, I gave it to my SIL otherwise I would have passed it on to you! I got the JJCole one, it was a nice weight and I felt it did the job.

@looch: this is for a stroller, but I was wondering if I should get a separate shower cap style cover for her car seat. I'm looking at my local mommy group classifieds and craigslist and may get both if I can find used. Our car is older so it doesn't have a remote starter or anything. Guess LO will just have to tough it out on cold mornings until the car warms up because I probably won't be taking her car seat up to our place every day anyway. Esp not in January when she'll be 6 months.

We have the toddler JJ cole urban bundle me. It's thick and really warm. On cold windy days we use the rain/wind cover so we didn't think the arctic was necessary since it could only be used in the dead of winter. The urban was just enough bulk for fall and winter (with coat/snowsuit and rain/wind cover)

Are you using the bundler in the stroller or did you want to use it for the car seat and then the stroller later on? I liked the JJ Cole Urban, the arctic was overkill for my situation, because I usually had a hat on my son anyway (my son was often out and about in the Alps). It's the wind that you need to sheild them from, primarily.

For the car seat, I had an Eddie Bauer cover that just slid on kind of like a shower cap. It worked really well, and if needed, I just added another blanket or two inside the cover to keep LO warm. If you are going to use the infant seat outdoors much, I'd definitely recommend getting one.

@Anagram: I'm not sure if it extends but it's pretty big. We used it on our lo starting at 6 months. I bought ours during an amazon mom sale event and paid around $70. So worth it!

I would also get te 7 am enfant 212 evolution...it's not cheap but is te only one you'll need for as long as your Lo is in a stroller!

I would get the arctic. We have a 7am enfant and it is thick, but awesome for cold ny winters. Also I would skip the infant one since it lasts only a short time... def get the toddler one!

As far as the car seat cover, they sell covers that go over car seats. I never used them as I don't have a car, but that seems easiest.

So this winter is only my second winter living here and my first with a baby. I need something to keep my 3 month old warm in her B-ready stroller, but I'm not sure which product to get.

Price is definitely a factor, but I need it to be warm and last for a long time. Can I get by with an "toddler" size even though she's an infant (I heard the JJ cole brand runs small).

Should I get the urban? The arctic? Right now on Mat leave, I rarely drive and do most everything walking with LO in the stroller. On weekends, we rarely drive.

Also, our car is in an unheated garage on the lower floor of our building. Do I need something for her carseat, too or will I just carry her down in a blanket or something and pop her into the carseat without anything over it until the car heats up (I do commute by car further out into the suburbs, and will probably be taking my LO to daycare out there starting in January.

I used to live in Texas, so cold weather is all new to me.
