I lived there for 15 years and those are my favorite free/cheap spots to go. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced too...plus the décor has all been redone and each room is really cool. It's a great morning or afternoon activity if the weather doesn't cooperate or A needs somewhere to explore. </p> <p>I would try to do Smorgasburg in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Sunday around 11am. Brooklyn Bridge Park in general is awesome for kids--Smorgasburg is located closer to pier 1 now, which has a great playground for kids.
