@raintreebee: i saw dr robin kalish at cornell and she only accepts high risk patients. i think she is the head of the department so i felt like i was in good hands! she delivered the babies of several of my friends including 2 sets of twins!

congrats on graduating!!!! :)

I posted a similar post a few months ago and got some great advice (including some from Cornell). I'm not high risk, so i was sort of looking for the opposite, but it might be a good place to start :)

Hi Bees, At seven weeks pregnant, I am graduating from my RE in the next week or two (!) so need to find an OB. I have several friends who love Dr. Kessler at Cornell, but I am also open to exploring other options. I'd love to hear of any very positive experiences with an OB in NYC. Taking insurance is nice but not mandatory since I've already met my deductible this year. Coming from IVFs, I also think I would not be comfortable with someone who is very laid back about everything and would prefer a doctor with high risk experience (I am 35 too). DH and I also prefer doctors who are pretty analytical and can explain the data/research behind their decisionmaking. I also think I would be more at ease at a hospital with a superb NICU and so Cornell seems like an obvious choice, but I could be talked out of that. Thank you! Feel free to write on my wall if you are more comfortable with that.
