My understanding is that the steel cut or old fashioned are best instead of instant. If you like oatmeal cookies, look online for a lactation cookie recipe. I just made a batch that are oatmeal-chocolate chip and include flax meal and brewer's yeast; very tasty and helped me tremendously with my supply.

I just used the regular Quaker oats but not the instant ones. I think eating oatmeal and drinking water helped my supply more thank fenugreek

So, I have always heard to eat oatmeal to help boost and maintain a good milk supply, but I have also heard to eat certain kinds of oats... like steel cut instead of quick oats.

Why is a certain kind of oats better than others at boosting or maintaining your milk supply?
