@SleepyMonkey: My son is a side sleeper too which is why I don't think he rolls onto his belly. He's come so close so many times. I try to entice him with a toy, but he just rolls back to his back. lol

@hilsy85: Neat! I bet he was working on rolling and now he's going to work on sitting. They only work on one thing at a time, right? And I've noticed the object permanence thing too with A!

@CarrieLouWho: ah so many teeth!

I think he's going to get his first tooth soon! I can feel a sharp little tooth just under the gums! And I think the second one isn't too far behind. How long does it take to break through the gums?

DD is sitting really well, no need for tripod any more. She rolled back to front a while ago, but never front to back. She hasn't rolled much at all since she's been sitting.

She has her 2 bottom teeth & her top right just started to come in! It's moving too fast for me!!!

I can now say Lo is a rolling machine! If we put him on his back, he usually rolls to his belly, and then back again. I wish he were more stable while sitting but it'll come with time :) he is also trying so hard to crawl--he can push himself up well with his arms but can quite get his legs under him. I'm ok with him not being mobile just yet!

Another cool thing that I'm sure your Los are doing too is that he really seems to have developed object permanence. If we take a toy out of his sight, he'll move his neck and look for it til he spots it. So cool to watch all these developments.

i missed this thread too....LO doesn't roll back to belly, ever. but she prefers to be on her back anyway. she is a side sleeper, so i imagine if she really wanted to, she could roll. she doesn't roll from belly to back that often either, although she has done it a bunch of times before. she is getting pretty good at sitting...she does face plant when she is feeling lazy, but she does the tripod pretty well and gets so excited when we clap for her.

Oh I missed this thread!

DS is 6 months and still not rolling back to belly. He gets on his side but doesn't go all the way over. He also doesn't enjoy being on his belly. He's been working on sitting though. He still needs his arms for support but he works a lot on keeping both arms up and sitting up. Sometimes he launches himself forward and ends up on his belly and he just looks so confused.

@LuLu Mom: LO also seems to be a lazy roller...he's done it a few times now and I know he's very capable of doing it, but he generally doesn't really have any interest! I agree that as long as they're progressing in other areas, it's not really concerning. That's awesome that she can tripod sit! L is juuuust kinda sorta getting the hang of it but only with a lot of assistance!

@sorrycharlie: We have her 6 month check up on Friday and I'm going to talk to her doctor about it. But I'm glad that she's not alone in the fact she's not rolling. She can sit tripod style with her hands, but not for very long. She's pretty wobbly yet, I was really hoping she would have it mastered by her 6 month pics this weekend, but not looking like it! :)

@LuLu Mom: O rolled front to back at 11 weeks (she's now 6 months). She has never rolled back to front (she rolls to her side). She has been sitting for about a month now, only the past 1-1.5 weeks she has been able to sit without using her arms as a tripod! So I guess I'm saying they can be roll-lazy but still progress :)

Her 6-month appt was today, actually, and my ped said not to worry about the rolling if she's working on sitting. Partly cause they usually work on one milestone at a time, and partly because now that she can sit and use her arms - why would she want to be 'trapped' on her belly where she can't really use her arms? valid points lol!

And, she rarely rolls belly to back anymore - she can, but doesn't care to :)

Hey everyone, I don't think we have a topic yet for this, and I have a couple questions/concerns that I want to toss out to the other mom's!

E rolled over back to belly & belly to back pretty early on, however she doesn't to it anymore! We give her plenty of floor time, but she seems content or if she wants to be moved she yells. Anyone else have a "lazy" baby?

Another thing she has no interest in feeding herself, I try to get her to hold her bottle but she refuses, and I put food in her hand and she throws it down and opens her mouth waiting for me to give it to her. Any tips, or anyone else relate? I'm starting to get worried that she won't want to sit, crawl, ect. on her own!
