@mrskc: It is going okay, although it has confirmed that I am ready for a job change. I have been with my company for almost 7 years & my 2 coworkers are still having the same argument they were having when I left. I think it's time for me to move on and find something I truely enjoy doing & not just get paid well to do! Hopefully in the next year I can find something in the area we plan to move.

@mrskc: @hilsy85: Trip IS going well, home tomorrow! Thank -you!

@MrsRcCar: Stay safe in the storm, we're just getting it at home, 10cm overnight and still coming. My Mom sent us a pic of our dog and he had snow piled on his nose!

@jessiejo17: Hope work is going as well as it can be, and realllllly hope time flies today!

We have been SO lucky the last two nights, C has STTN the last two nights. I'm hurtin' in terms of engorgement, but it's totally unexpected that she'd sleep like that (especially while away in a foreign cradle!), but so awesome!

I think we'll say some goodbyes today, and try to figure out how we are packing and getting gifts home.

Hey ladies, today is my first day back in the office, and I'm not goign to lie I've been watching the clock ALL day waiting to go back home to my baby. Luckily this first week grandma's are taking turns babysitting, so I'm easing in. It's nice to be around adults again, but I really wish we could swing me working part time so I could be home more. It's our goal for whenever baby #2 arrives. Hope everyone had a great holiday season!

Hi Ladies!

Hope everything is going well. DH, little Nolan and I are doing well. We have been busy traveling to see family. We spent Christmas eve with my FIL and DH's family and drove home in the snow. I was not pleased at all. Christmas morning we spent with my mom and dad. We then drove down to Cincinnati to spend the rest of Christmas with my Grandma. We are currently still in Cincinnati despite the fact that DH was supposed to work tomorrow because of the terrible snow storm. My best friend's family is housing us for the night. They are pretty excited to have us for the evening. (In fact my BFF's mom said she was going tie us up if we tried to drive home). I suppose it is good that I always over pack. I will post more when we get home tomorrow. Happy Holidays Ladies!!

@Beebug: hope your trip is going well! @mrskc: ahh luckily we don't have too many stuffed animals..but the ones we do have just seem to collect dust right now!

We had a pretty good holiday...I nursed in the car while LO was in his carseat and DH was driving, lol--that was interesting. Hopefully the other drivers on the road didn't get too much of a peek. We also found out that my sister is pregnant! She already has two kids, and is due in August. It was quite a shock for all of us, as she wasn't trying. I'm super excited that her LO and DS will be so close in age. She goes for her first appt on 12/31 (my bday!) so hopefully everything is good.

I also went to my first mommy meet up last Friday for moms in my neighborhood. There was a mom there with a 3 week old baby--made me realize how much LO has grown over the last almost-10 weeks! He still seems so little to me, but compared to that baby, he was huge, lol.

Hope everyone had a nice Xmas. A was spoiled with lots of gifts. Lots of clothes and toys. It's funny how after you have a kid the amount of gifts increases ten fold. And ugh we have too many stuffed animals already.

Hi ladies!

Merry Christmas everyone, and happy 1st Christmas' to all of our LOs!

We made it to Nova Scotia, we're on the road now from Halifax to DHs hometown (about 2 hours), C is sleeping! The plane ride was ok, she screaaaaaamed bloody murder the first few mins on the plane, I felt awful for the people around us. She hated being held all ways, soother, bottle, nothing worked, onto the boob she went and pretty much stayed there all flight, and then zonked out, DH and I watched a movie. Glad we didn't do this drive last night and stayed with BIL and SIL who live right near airport. They met C, great to visit, and break up the travel a bit.

C slept between DH and I in bed, a double bed (lol) so we were pretty cozy last night. DH and I nervous with her in bed, first half of the night I think we hardly slept, second half we did much better, C and DH slept an hour later then me, and only a one hour time change/difference here that I think we've absorbed fine already!

Wish me luck with MIL, arghhhhhh. Hoping to goodness everything is ok, and goes ok. Lots of fam and goings on to hopefully never have her and I left alone.

@hilsy85: ear seems fine, we'll see how she is landing though, I land awfully on planes though, hopefully she doesn't inherit that from me! She is a big girl, but you know what's funny is how "small" she seems with sposies on! I feel like I have nothing to hold on to now, haha!

Does Target have good (ish?) baby clothes? It's coming to Canada soon, and one's opening local to me, not til February though I don't think!

DH and I did Christmas last night together, I cried reading card from him, we filled stockings for each other, I love DH of course but he nevvvver really does gifts, we just keep it small, and I'm always ok with that. I went a little crazy with his stocking, and definitely over spent, and was sure I way outdid him. He got me! Totally surprised, lots of "running" themed gifts, ipod running band for arm, lulu sports bra, etc, but some sparkly diamond ear rings, so that killed it, lol DH did good!!!! First piece of jewelry he's bought me, so pretty special to me! I was just beaming last night, had to brag a little, beyond excited!

@mrskc: naps are definitely more of a challenge than night time sleep...we always swaddle for them if we're at home and we either end up putting him in his swing, which usually gives us a good hour and a half/two hours, or in his crib, which is more hit and miss. He naps really well in the moby or the stroller, so if all else fails we go out for a walk.

@Beebug: wow big girl! Go C! I hope her ear is better...glad her shots weren't too bad. We use pampers swaddlers and love them. Have a great trip!!

@TurtleDoves: C only sleeps on her side! We have a towel rolled on her front side, receiving blanket against her back. We definitely don't want her rolling frontward, so those rolls are tight, the back one is loose as we are now wanting her to make her way to her back, which she does, but yah.....tightly rolled on either side and he won't go anywhere :) She sleeps a million times better once doc said we could side sleep her!

@mrskc: J is also not a good napper. I swaddle him (recently with the miracle blanket like we do at night) and put him in his crib, and he'll generally sleep for 30 minutes max before waking up and crying. Sometimes I can put his pacifier back in and wiggle him a little and he'll fall asleep again, but sometimes it doesn't work and I just have to keep going into his room and putting the pacifier back in every 5 minutes. He sleeps well at night (usually, though for some reason he's been randomly crying for a few seconds every half hour this evening, not sure what that's about!), but doesn't like to sleep during the day!

J doesn't mind his vitamin D drops - I use the Enfamil TriViSol drops, which have a couple other vitamins in there too. I give it to him before a feeding, and he'll take it then make a face because it's not the milk taste he was expecting!

@TurtleDoves: oh no! Maybe roll up a receiving blanket and put it against his back to keep him on his side.

Well A is taking his second nap in the swing today. I'm amazed.

@mrskc: L doesn't nap well either. only if she is on someone. if she is swaddled tightly, sometimes she will sleep for longer stretches, but not usually.

@hellobeeboston: he loves them!? What drops do you use? DS hates his because they taste repulsive (I've tried them). That's why sometimes I skip them; they out him in a terrible mood:/

@Mrs.B: E sleeps terribly too.
Today our ped asked about his sleep & when I told him that LO only sleeps a max of 4h and then wakes every 3 after that (no naps during day!) he was applaud. He said he feels bad for me hehe..ah:'( I feel bad for me too.

LO is 12lb7oz- above average for his age:)
Other than that, he has flat head! So, now I'm supposed to did a way to make him sleep on his side. Any ideas?

@Beebug: yay! I don't wanna be left out of the loop when it comes to baby pic sharing! She's so pretty; I love her!

@mrskc: C doesn't nap properly daytime, never ever in crib, bassinet or pnp. She is always in carrier, on me, or in carseat. We're on the go, and maybe I'm a bad Mom for not being home to establish better naps, but I want to do things! So I guess I can't her expect to nap where I'd like her to the times I am home?

She naps fine now in bassinet at night, so I find it funny how she won't stay asleep in it during the day!

@hellobeeboston: my ped said arm pit and if we need more accurate then do rectal.

@Beebug: what a cutie! Hope she's feeling bette and you can figure out why she keeps batting her ear. My DH has next 2 weeks off too! So looking forward to having him home for 2 weeks.

Anyone else struggle with naps during the day? How do u get your LO down for a nap? I tried swaddle today with white noise and he only slept for half an hour. Then later I let him nap on my chest for 2 hours. He sleeps fine at night but he doesn't nap very well.
