@swedishfish: Oh no! That was really insensitive of me....I can start another thread if that would be easier. I honestly didn't realize that when I responded...

checking in...how is everyone feeling? Anyone feeling like they are busting out of their pants yet? lol. I feel huge by the late afternoon everyday. I don't remember this happening until 16-18 weeks last time!

Also, I'm researching strollers again...I am torn between the B-ready and the city select. Anyone have any thoughts? I just found out from another HB'r that BRU will take my B-Agile and give me store credit because of the recall. Now I'm motivated to find one that I can start using with DS this summer. I've been annoyed with the wheels on my b-Agile lately and would love something a little more sturdy, preferably with real wheels. haha.

1) How old is your LO? (Or LOs?) 2.5

2) Boy or girl? Boy

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs? 3 ye ars

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme? My LO is still using his same theme (Winnie the Pooh) so we will do something different for this baby.

5) Which double strollers are you considering? Haven't looked yet

6) Anything else you'd like to share? We're hoping for a girl this time :)

1) How old is your LO? 15months

2) Boy or girl? Boy

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs? 24 months

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme? Not really sure about this yet. We currently have a small nursery and a larger guest room. I can't decide if we should convert the guest room to a 'big boy' room or turn the guest room into a nursery with a bed in it.

5) Which double strollers are you considering? We'll either upgrade our Orbit or get a city mini double.

6) Anything else you'd like to share? LO just weaned himself. I feel so different now that I'm not breastfeeding anymore.

@swedishfish: Thanks for starting this post, what a great idea!

1) How old is your LO? (Or Los?) Well, this will be baby#3 for me. My daughter is 13, and my son is 19 months. Yes...HUGE age difference. I had my daughter young and in a previous relationship.

2) Boy or girl? We already have one of each. I think I'm hoping for another girl (I daydream about adorable infant photos with tutus), and my husband is definitely hoping for another boy.

3) What will the age difference be between your Los? 26.5 month difference between the youngest.

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme? Well, we are going to have to do some major reorganizing at the house to provide room for the new LO. We own a 3 bedroom home, so it's going to involve my daughter moving to my son's small bedroom. Then, we can put the two LOs together in the big bedroom. She's not thrilled about giving up her room, but she doesn't have much of a choice. We promised to finish off a "hang-out" room in our basement for her before the new baby is here. (She's been begging for that for at least a year now, so she's thrilled about that.) But back to the original question, our son's nursery is Beatles themed, so we'll probably carry that over when we do the room swap.

5) Which double strollers are you considering? Not sure if we will end up buying one. We don't use our current stroller all that often, so it seems like a bit of a waste of money to me. We have a couple strollers already, so we can just use multiple single strollers, as needed.

6) Anything else you'd like to share? Can't think of anything at the moment.

@LulaBee: My son is almost 19 months, and we're trying out potty training now. Just getting him comfortable with the idea of it for now...I definitely want him to be potty trained before the LO arrives in October, though.

@bushelandapeck: @Adira: Ditto on the convertible crib! We'll have to purchase a second crib, as well.

@LulaBee: I put Xander's crib mattress on the floor once while I was lowering his crib. He crawled up onto the mattress and then immediately started crying!!

@bushelandapeck: @butterbean: Our crib converts too so I'm planning on buying a second crib for the new baby as well! I hope he stays in the crib (and thus contained) for as long as possible!!!

@butterbean: @Adira: I don't think we will move him to a toddler bed unless he starts crumbling out of his crib. His crib converts so we plan to continue to use it and buy a second crib for the new baby. I secretly hope he stays on the crib until he's 3 or 4 ;)

@butterbean: we tried to transition to a floor bed- I was hoping if she liked/was able to sleep better on the crib mattress on the floor then I would just buy her a full sized mattress and leave that on the floor until she was ready for a big bed. She really liked having the mattress on the floor for reading and pretending to sleep, and she even napped in it. The only night we had it on the floor we had to spend a little bit more time getting her to sleep than usual. After a couple of hours, she rolled out onto the floor- DH went in and put her back in bed- she stayed asleep. But after that she kept waking- I think because she kept rolling up against the wall which was really cold. But my daughter is a pretty poor sleeper to begin with- we mostly tried this just because we have tried everything else so figured it couldn't hurt. Ended up putting crib back together at 11 that night!

I want to let my daughter wean herself too, but I really think I might have to night wean here soon. I can't keep getting up every 1.5 hours all night long, I don't think I'll survive! It seems like your LO might be more ready to transition to a toddler bed because he's almost 2?

@Adira: i hope you get your BFP soon (i've been following the February POAS board  ) i'm not too concerned about transitioning LO to a different room; i'm more concerned about transitioning to a toddler bed...i really don't want to have to buy another crib

@LulaBee: i'm still nursing my LO at night...my DH thinks i should wean but i'm letting my LO lead this dance and let me know when he's ready to wean. can you talk a little bit more about your experience with transitioning to a toddler bed?

1) How old is your LO? (Or LOs?) E is 18 months old

2) Boy or girl? Girl

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs? 26 months

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme? That's a good question... we live in a 2 bedroom that I would like to put on the market in the spring... but if we don't sell and get a bigger place, I think baby will stay in our room for first few months and then somehow they'll have to room share. God, that just sounds horrible. I mean, DD wakes through the night anyways right now to nurse, so I guess I'd be tandem nursing ALL NIGHT LONG. I digress....

5) Which double strollers are you considering? None? Do I really need one? E hardly ever rides in the stroller as it is now... but I guess it would make life easier for shopping, etc.

6) Anything else you'd like to share? I'm tired. Is anyone else nursing their LO and trying to decide if they should wean? Also, I'm nervous about transitioning to a big girl bed with DD- we have tried once already and it didn't go so well. Also, potty training- do we try before or wait until after baby comes?

i'm in!

1) How old is your LO? (Or LOs?) LO is almost 14 months

2) Boy or girl? boy

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs? 22 months

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme? reusing the nursery...we made it gender neutral in the event we had LO #2  i may add some splashes of yellow to the nursery (the nursery is grey and white). we will move DS into the other room and perhaps start transitioning to a toddler bed closer to the due date (haven't thought that through just yet) @bushelandapeck: will you be transitioning to a toddler bed?

5) Which double strollers are you considering? haven't thought about this although this is something we'll need

6) Anything else you'd like to share? we have our first appointment/ultrasound on March 10th

@swedishfish: fingers crossed!
@bushelandapeck and : @swedishfish: does this pregnancy feel different the second time around? so far, it feels the same (although I'm nursing a horrible cold right now and i just want to sleep,...sleep...sleep...lol)

Great idea!

1) How old is your LO? (Or LOs?) 18 months

2) Boy or girl? Boy-Charlie

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs? 26 months

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme? We haven't officially decided but we will probably reuse the nursery and move DS to a different room and make it more of a toddler space. I'm not big into themes.

5) Which double strollers are you considering? B-Ready, Bob, Uppa Baby's

6) Anything else you'd like to share? We are cautiously optimistic about this pregnancy after going through a missed miscarriage in November 2013. I'm looking forward to our ultrasound on 2/24 and to getting to 12 weeks when I might feel a little safer.

I'll start.

1) How old is your LO? (Or LOs?)
R is almost 8 months old.

2) Boy or girl?
R is a girl.

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs?
They will be 16 months apart.

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme?
We will reuse R's nursery as it's gender neutral and move her to the bigger bedroom. Right now it's the guest room.

5) Which double strollers are you considering?
I'm considering the City Select and City Mini. We currently have a single City Mini and love it. Any other suggestions?

6) Anything else you'd like to share?
This pregnancy was a complete surprise but I'm hoping it sticks! I just went on progesterone last night because my hCG numbers look good but my progesterone was low. My RE said I can thank my first child for this pregnancy since we needed IVF to conceive R.

I noticed the October 2014 board has a lot of mamas pregnant with their 2nd or 3rd LO. I also feel slightly overwhelmed by the number of ladies due in October! It's hard to jump into a due date board when it's already on page 12 or 13. :silly: I did read everything but thought I'd like a place for the moms who have a LO already.

1) How old is your LO? (Or LOs?)

2) Boy or girl?

3) What will the age difference be between your LOs?

4) Are you reusing your nursery or decorating with a new theme?

5) Which double strollers are you considering?

6) Anything else you'd like to share?
