We tried with a nipple shield and it worked a little better... after a few days everything was back to normal. I found that a little teething gel helped her. I don't have advice, as I don't know all of the details of your exact situation, but a lactation consultant would be a wonderful resource for you. Ours helped guide us through teething and all the discomfort that comes along with it. Think latching on hurts her upper gum if it's already sore? Seems like a ditzy question...but she's confusing me! </p>
