@spaniellove: Aha! Thanks, I appreciate it. I figured it was too good to be true. I will just oder the City Select bassinet.

@Cole: I have the Mesa and it uses a separate adapter for the Vista so it wouldn't be interchangeable with the bassinet.

I don't think the UBV bassinet and Mesa use the same clip.
We had a January baby and used the bassinet a ton.

@hilsy85: Thanks! The City select bassinet isn't super expensive anyway so I might just buy it. They do sell a converter though for the City Select to accept the Mesa.

I don't know if the clips for the carseat are the same as for the bassinet...I would call UB and ask them. Does the city select even come with a carseat converter for the UB mesa?

FWIW I had an Oct baby in NY and we used our bassinet exclusively until he outgrew it--he was way warmer in there and more sheltered from the wind.

I am pretty sure we are going to buy the City Select stroller, I love the idea of a bassinet but since the baby is going to be born in October (in Michigan) we won't get a ton of use out of it. BUT, a friend has an Uppa Baby Vista bassinet she is done with. Do you think if I buy the converter meant for using the UB car seat with the City Select I could use the bassinet? The converter is only $20 so it's a pretty big savings. I could probably borrow a UB Mesa too to get more use out of it but frankly that thing is a beast...
