I would go with chocolate over alcohol if you do not know them well. The budget is $10. What do you think would be more successful - a few airplane bottles of liquor, or $10 worth of bulk Christmas candy in a pretty tin? There are about 20 people in my department but I only really know 5 of them, so this isn't a "you know the people better than we do" situation. </p>
