I didn't realize how creaky our flora were until we had a baby. When we replaced the flooring this spring, DH &amp; my dad secured the subfloor so now it doesn't creak. Whew!</p> <p>But now we notice the doors. Ugh, the doors! They're suddenly so loud. And our feet sound loud on the hardwood. And the cupboards slam. When M was a newborn DH put a small rug outside her room 'cause he thought it would help the squeaking. I swear it made it worse. It's seriously every step in our home! I love our old home, but those with newer homes are lucky in this respect!</p> <p>Do your floors squeak too? </p>
