I have oily hair all the time; make sure you only use shampoo on the ends, not the roots or anywhere close to your scalp. I use dry shampoo when I fix my hair to give it an extra boost of volume/protection against oil.

@Smurfette: I wash my hair every other day as well. I googled this and found that it was a common problem for some people. Their suggestion was to continue washing every other day but using Dawn dishsoap and just conditioning the ends. I'm kind of curious to see if this works

Changes in hair have been a big pregnancy and now breastfeeding symptom for me. I lost a lot of weight while pregnant, most of it fat, but had great shiny hair. Now, my toddler is sucking the fat out of my skin, hair, and everywhere but my belly.

I hope not! I already have oily hair. I try and wash it every other day. Dry shampoo helps. Dove is my favorite.

I just noticed this week that my hair is starting to get really oily at the roots. at first I thought I didn't rinse out all the conditioner out of my hair so today I made sure to rinse it all out but after blowdrying my hair it was stillI oily! Is this another pregnancy symptom? Any tips?
