The winning combination- 1 cup of vinegar with 2 cups of warm water poured over dry hair, left on for five minutes, followed by baking soda in Selsum Blue Medicated shampoo. It was ridiculous to put baking soda and vinegar in my hair, because I felt like a third grade science project, but I don't care, BECAUSE MY HAIR IS FINALLY CLEAN. My little sister had this a couple of years back and it ended up being a fungal infection (similar to dandruff, but causes greasiness rather than flaking). Seriously, dry shampoo is the best. Try to go a day or two without washing your hair and just freshen up with dry shampoo. I used to wash my hair every single day for the same reason, it would go oily after literally 12 hours - and now with dry shampoo i can go 2-3 days without really needing to wash my hair at all. It literally looked like I conditioned my hair and didn't rinse and tried to blow dry it! And it was only on certain areas of my scalp. Sounds weird, but get regular blue Scope mouthwash and rinse with that first, then get plain ole Suave clarifying and shampoo with that afterwards, it really gets they buildup or any residue/bacteria! Silicone is in many shampoos, conditioners, and styling products.
