I use the cheap changing pad paper liner son top of our changing pad cover - it doesn't always save having to wash the cover, but it gets us through little poop squirt accidents mid-change. :)

@ladyfingers: Yea I guess the Boppy ones are the same just more expensive. The boppy ones are $12/3 versus the small square ones are like $6/3.

@ladyfingers: You will still want a few of those pads. We used to have the changing table foam thing, covered by the pad cover, then a flannel blanket and then one of those.

There is lots of pee and poo that goes places during diaper changes and its much easier to wash a small little square than the entire changing pad cover.

We have 2 kinds. One is a larger one that we use to lay her on and in her crib (about 18"x24") and then smaller ones for just under her bum during diaper changes (12"x12" or so).

@mrskc: Oh I see! Yeah and our house isn't huge, so for me to go to his room to change his diaper on his pad isn't exactly a hardship.

@ladyfingers: like these: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3368919

I think I'll use them on the changing pad or around the house for diaper changes. But you do have those boppy covers for the changing pad, so that could work too.

@mrskc: What do you mean by waterproof pads that don't go on the mattress?

We had a bathtub on there, but we got a hand-me-down bathtub this weekend.

We do have wipes on the BRU registry. I was uncertain on whether to add diapers (we're doing disposable) so I will do that now!

No baby yet, but I've heard waterproof pads come in handy. Not the kind that go on the mattress. What about a bathtub? And you don't have any diapers and wipes on there. Are you cloth diapering or disposable?

@Mrsbells: I saw the post on the wipes case here, but some people indicated either that didn't happen to them or didn't bother them, so I left it on there in the absence of a comparable find. If you know of a better wipes case, let me know!

Too bad about the Green Sprouts bibs, I couldn't find anything else I really liked. :( Any recommendations?

@Pink Champagne: Thanks! Yeah, I am kind of concerned that it doesn't seem to be sold anymore, I'm not sure if it's backordered or what so I'll wait and see.

We have the Graco Sweet Slumber Sound Machine (swapped it out with the Sleep Sheep after seeing the recent post here), and
The First Years Spin and Store Drying Rack on the BRU registry. The high chair is listed on our Amazon registry.

We actually weren't going to register for a Bumbo-like seat, but my boss gave us her Mamas and Papas seat that she used yesterday.

Good point on the pump parts. I'm not even sure if I'm leaving the pump on there because I still need to call my insurance company and see if it will be covered in time.

I originally had nipple shields on there but took them off because I heard not everybody needs them and I wanted to wait and see if it was a necessary purchase, then we could just get it ourselves.

Please do not buy the skip hop pronto changing station. I have that and have lots of issues with it and their customer service is TERRIBLE. The red wipes case leaks red color on to all your wipes. On their facebook page they claim it only a small batch were affected but after doing lots of research I realise a lot of people have this problem and they just dont care. they never even answer the phone. Try calling them now and see,

Also I have the green sprouts bibs and they are huge, as in the neck is for a much older baby, they are still huge on my 4.5 month old, I dont think they will fit her for another 3 or 4 months, so you may want to add some regular size bibs as well

I love the boogin head paci grips and the fisher price sleeper though!!

Your registries look great- I personally LOVE that OXO nightlight so much- I love that you can take it around the house with you!
What about a white noise machine, a high chair, and snug seat (not the Bumbo, but Mamas and Papas makes a similar one that they sell at Babies R us)?
Do you have a bottle drying rack? I personally love the Boon grass one, it's great for drying bottles and pump parts. Also, you might want to put extra pump parts and nipple shields in case people actually buy your breast feeding accessories for you (no one did for me, but at the baby shower I went to yesterday, people bought the mom-to-be all of that stuff).

@Thehistoryofus: I saw your post on highwire and just added some of the Rockabye Baby albums to our BRU registry! Thanks for the suggestion!

@artbee: I couldn't find infant tylenol anyway, just children's tylenol and like you said, I don't know what to get so I held off on that. But I did add some other medicine type items -- saline spray, vitamin d drops, gas drops, etc. Thanks!

@ladyfingers: We only swaddled until two months.... it really just depends on your LO. But small sleep sacks are something you could always buy later if you need them.... I'm sure people will be giving you gift cards too!

I think a swing and a bouncer are plenty.... I guess it depends how big your house is though. We have a tiny house, we had the swing in the living room and it stayed put and the bouncer is light so I carried it to different rooms with me, but it would usually stay in the bathroom so I could put her down while I peed.

People are saying to add tylenol.... my doctor said not to use infant tylenol even when my LO was a newborn, just childrens so you might want to check with the doctor before adding that.

@ladyfingers: This weekend I thought of another registry thing. MUSIC!

We love that we got a baby lullaby CD plus some CD's for the car with kid music. It is really nice that when she is fussy we can turn on some of her music and she calms down. We turn her lullaby cd on each night (really I loaded it to an ipod in her room and keep the CD in my car).

@mrs. bird: Crap, thank you!! I didn't even notice there was a different adapter for the Mini -- phew!

As far as where he'll be sleeping at first... I have no idea. It never even occurred to me that he would be sleeping anywhere but his crib, until I got pregnant and read about all the people who don't do that! I suppose it would be easier to have him bedside in the beginning for nighttime feedings, and for minimizing my freakouts. It makes me a little nervous because of our cat, honestly. At least we can close the nursery door and the crib is hard to jump into. We can't close out cat out of our bedroom, he's 11 and he'll scratch and scratch until we let him in -- he's too old to learn otherwise lol. But I worry he'll jump on the Rock N Play and knock the baby out or something!!

You have a lot of awesome stuff on there!
I agree that the small sleep sacks don't get much use because babies are swaddled then.

Is the city select carseat adapter the same as the one for the mini?

As far as the rock'n play, where do you plan to have baby sleep at first? I love the rock'n play so I'd put one on there, but it's by no means an essential item.

I didn't use sleepsacks in S either. We're still using the Miracle Blanket/Woombie to swaddle, and she'll move straight into a size M sleepsack. Good call on getting 2 Miracle Blankets. They're my must-have baby item... you need 2 at minimum if you love it like we do.

I think one carseat base would be fine, and I would also add tylenol, saline, etc.

And this is totally a personal thing, but I prefer the bottle brush with the sponge at the end. I bought one like the one you registered for because it can go in the dishwasher, but it's kind of hard to get in the neck of some of our bottles.

@looch: I actually have one Carter's Keep me Dry mattress pad on the BRU registry. Do you think one is enough?

@looch: Me too! I always have the shower on the hottest setting lol.

Do you mean something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Rubber-TempGuard-Ducky/dp/B004EWGDF6/ref=sr_1_7?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1347025684&sr=1-7&keywords=bath+thermometer

Bummer BRU doesn't seem to have any non-digital stuff. I was actually kinda disappointed at the amount of stuff they don't have/don't sell in stores (online only).

I actually liked the bath thermometer...but I'd get one that isn't digital. I can never tell if the water is too hot, I like my showers super hot, so it has saved us a couple of times.

I didn't use sleepsacks in size S, we were still swaddling at that point, when we transitioned out we went right to size M.

Get the snack bowls with covers, this way you can also toss them in a diaper bag!

I didn't see waterproof mattress pads...Carters makes great ones with an elastic all around.

Side note:I read that you're getting the IKEA Gulliver crib in another thread, the jersey sheets they sell in a 2 pack are awesome, get 2 packages!
