My LO is 6 months, and I missed a few sessions with her on Saturday. It was a perfect storm - I had dental work in the morning and a wedding in the afternoon/evening. She woke up for an extra feeding Sunday night, but that's the only thing I noticed as any different, and we're back to normal now. Have fun at the brewery tour!

ok, thanks everyone! sounds like i should be fine, i was just worried that it would hurt my supply but sounds like 1 day wouldn't do that. I will just make sure to pump for a long time when i get home :)

@mamabolt: she is 7 months old. awesome, that helps!

I don't think missing one day will affect your supply. You might be a bit uncomfortable/full-- but I've done similar things and it hasn't affected my supply :) I just make sure to nurse all day the following day!

How old is your LO? I've had to take longer than normal between pumping sessions when I've had to fly for work, when LO was 7 months and 10 months, and I didn't seen any negative impact on my supply as long as I got back to my normal schedule relatively quickly.

I think one day won't be enough to affect your supply. Just pump when you get home! And maybe pump for longer than normal too, just to really make sure your body knows you need all that milk!

I think you will be ok missing sessions for one day. I would just pump when I got home.

My work has a summer outing every year, typically involving going out to eat and some activity. This year we are going to a brewery tour and then going out to eat. We will be leaving the office around 3pm and I won't get back home until past 7:30pm, LO will already be in bed by then. I plan on pumping at 2:30pm, but in a normal day, I usually nurse her when I get home around 5 from one side, then I nurse her again from both sides before bed at 7. Will it hurt my supply if I do not pump the entire time I am out? I will basically be missing 2 nursing sessions....I do not want to hurt my supply, so if needed, I can leave early....
