I used both my old one and new one with my second. Kept one at home and one at work!

I had a medela PISA I bought out of pocket with my first. I got a free spectra from insurance with my second. I used both the second time. I used my spectra by my bed (overnight) and I used my medela in the living room on maternity leave and then opted to take the medela to work. It still worked as well as it did with my first. And I had the medela tote so it was more practical to just take that one. I got new tubing for it.

I kept the old one at home as back up. It isn't as powerful as the new one but for back up that I use once in a while, it's fine!

I replaced the tubing on my old one and keep that one at home in case I need it, I've only used it a handful of times in 11 months.
I keep the new one at work for daily use.

I would used it, but get replacements for the membranes inside the pump. It helps a lot.

@Honeydew: I leave one at work and have another at home. I don't see why you couldn't?

I may have answered my own question, I have an old Medela PISA, I'm about to order a new pump through my insurance.
For (work purposes), would I be able to use my old pump still or should I just chuck it?
