<description>&#60;p&#62;I was thinking of getting canvas slip on sneakers for my four-year-old who is a size 12.5.  Toddler sizes only go up to 11 and big kid sizes start at one.   What size am I supposed to buy for my kid? I don't really get how shoe sizes work I guess.  Do they normally go up to 13 and then switch to one?
