Once scared him and he went on a short nursing strike. But it really hurt!! </p> <p>Lately he has been hitting, and there have been a few times when he's purposefully hit me and caught me off guard and I lightly smacked his cheek! Oh my, I think I saw stars every time. After the first few times he didn't do it anymore. My mom told me the story about the first time I bit her while nursing, she did the same thing. </p> <p>I have been chomped while nursing with gums, and it was enough for me to take him off immediately, more shock than pain though. I don't look forward to teeth coming in!</p> <p>My favorite was at work, I was teaching some students how to restrain a hamster, and the little monster bit my hand, and I reacted by jerking my hand, and the poor little guy flung onto the table belly up, but was fortunately ok. It's awful. It hurt so bad I jumped and kind of smacked her face (not on purpose just as a reflex) now when she bites I take her off and tell her no biting. I don't let her latch back on right away I make her wait a few minutes.
