I had been sick with a nasty cold for like 2 months and was super stressed out when I started noticing mouth pain and white spots. It was worse when I ate anything vinegary or soy sauce. The doctors were shocked since it doesn't happen much in adults. They kept asking if I were HIV positive, since I guess HIV patients are prone to thrush. I was given a mouth rinse to gargle and swallow twice a day and it cleared up pretty quickly. I've seen a couple of cases in my practice. I also had a case of it a couple of years ago after a round of antibiotics. The rx was a round of lozenges. Does he take probiotics? If not, you should definitely look into it. If anything, it can prevent the vicious antibiotic/yeast infection cycle that tends to occur. </p> <p>I also highly recommend this book on the GAPS diet. Based on what I've researched (and I did A LOT), it's like the miracle diet because it heals the gut and eliminates eczema, allergies, and a whole host of psychological/medical issues. Might help Charlie.
